This is the one I have: http://www.amazon.com/Real-Arcade-Pro-3-SA-Playstation-3/dp/B002FL0T8U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331008416&sr=8-1 Unfortunately it looks like it's out of stock there, but if you can find one used, it's seriously worth every penny. The buttons are so responsive, you barely have to touch them for them to respond, and the stick is awesome. And when I get pissed and pound on the thing, it can take that too lol! The best thing about it though, is that you don't have to mod it at all. It ships with Sanwa (read: AWESOME!) parts stock. It costs a bit more but if you're even moderately serious about fighting games, you should have a good stick to play on. I bought my bro a HRAP3 but with the standard parts and after trying mine, he ended up buying Sanwa parts for his too. You'll end up spending the money one way or another. And sometimes those little clip-on button terminals are a real pain in the ass to work on. I recommend getting a stick that already has the right parts in it, but sometimes modding can be a lot of fun. MORE STUFF THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SF4V BUT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH JOYSTICKS: So tonight my girl and I went to Dave & Buster's for some food and games, and of all the games there, I saw only TWO that had an actual joystick and buttons on them. And they were both Pac-Man games. They even had arcade versions of Infinity Blade and Fruit Ninja. Light gun games are fun, but dang, what I wouldn't have given for a Street Fighter 2/3 machine!
SPOILER TAGS DUDE !!! I'm SO glad I just watched this episode earlier tonight, or else I'd kill you right now.
Thanks to your punctuation, I had to tell the Spoiler Tag Dude that you weren't talking about him, you were just telling rshkshee to use spoiler tags.
Those sticks seem to be avail in canada: PS3: http://www.amazon.ca/Real-Arcade-Pro-V3-SA/dp/B0041SGD44/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1331009168&sr=1-2 360: http://www.amazon.ca/Real-Arcade-Pro-VX-SA/dp/B0041S9U8A/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1331009168&sr=1-1 PS3, Craiglist-type listing: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-video-games-consoles-Sony-Playstation-3-Real-Arcade-Pro-V3-SA-LNIB-W0QQAdIdZ360279423 It sounds like the PS3 stick is running off a square gate. I think I would personally prefer an octagon gate, but I think that's more a personal thing. Doc, can you confirm that it's got a stock square gate?
Dude. That first match we both had 0 health at the end. The last chip damage wins and I barely pulled it out. It could have easily gone the other way. The lag got bad after that so the other game wasn't indicative of anything. You definitely held your own and was every bit my equal
Don't worry about it, send me a request whenever your wifi is fixed, or you're not going to play anymore?
Nice! I really dig the industrial look of that stick with the metal plate on it.. I think black would be a better color for the stick and buttons though. I havent wanted a stick as much as i do now, from knowing there is one nearby that is as good as mine and to all these posts about the better sticks i could be having...Im thinking i should have some more patience and hold out for a more quality set up like the one you have or that wrestling stick those guys were talking about. Dilema. I can imagine getting that TK stick and it feeling like a plastic toy. Lucky you have some kind of Arcade atmosphere to be in at least. I think there is one in this town somewhere that opened up recently but i read its mostly old Atari games an shit.. For now there is a hole in the wall bar in midtown with a SF2 cabinet with a jacked up joystick I play once in awhile.. I wonder if these TE sanwa buttons can feel better than that.
My uni used to have 2 xvsf arcade machines. But they go rid of them a few years ago. Can't find any xvsf cabs in Sydney (Australia)
There was a review of the Madcatz Brawlstick. It's a square gate, but the corners had really bad recognition. He did a Sanwa stick replacement, made it pretty much perfect. review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUWLD_c_i84&feature=related mod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHKaFmX1kTU&feature=related This stick's been on sale in toronto for $50 a few times, and even down to $35 2 weeks ago (dammit I missed the sale). Waiting for it to drop down to that price again, cuz regular $99 is too much. eep. also, good demonstration of sanwa vs stock stick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJZjKRngyL8&feature=related&t=2m45s also, modded buttons too w sanwas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zezOyzBmYj4&feature=related
Anyone else notice we've been invaded by the Japanese . Be warned folks, I saw Neco-Arc and Psycho-Breaker on the rankings and BN forums. They are easily the best Cammys in Japan. You guys are in for a lot of Cammy love
So I guess its common to find affordable[cheap] sticks on the market these days then. I imagined used prices to still be up in the 80-100 dollar range...i was a little floored by that craislist post but i suppose thats more garage sale range. This Brawl Stick maybe the cheapest and best option since they are highly customizable...i caught those last two links and i like the artwork mod and the button response demos...he should have showed one of them dissasembled too. Pretty discriptive though compared to other clips ive watched.. Now to go check the prices on replacement parts..that might be the kicker.
Haha...the members of Dejin Dojo are now invading their place!!! Let the Japanese be surprised ! Honestly, the standard of japanese is high and seldom ragequit! Many skillful dejay and and bison around!
