I haven't had Internet while on vacation so I've only been playing grueling arcade and challenges. Grueling isn't really all that fun. I love a good challenge but grueling pulls off impossible moves like, for example, Ex Blanka balls while walking forward. But some of the execution is still interesting to see.

I found out awhile back while trying out tactics I use with Remy in Third Strike on Guile, that you could actually juggle a flying opponent in the corner by hitting them with Guile's DF+P Uppercut and then using a Flash Kick (with the right timing of course....) Using the EX FKxxFADC makes that much less situational! Good lookin' out Snooper!

Slrc beat me to it. Mak's basically a character in a game that all but punishes her main playing style. It'd be like putting Sagat in Third Strike, where zoning, while still possible, is hardly as effective as it was/is in SF2/4.

She's so much fun to play in 3S, but trying to main her here in Volt was a heartbreaking couple of months. :-/

Grueling becomes easy when you learn the CPU's little quirks. Thats why it has little value after playing for awhile. STuipd crap like jumping backwards causes Honda to try and headbutt you which you can easily punish afterwards.

Yun's geneijin can continue for a long but if you don't reset, damage is not that big. If you mean no reset, one continuous combo that might be Vega (I don't know about any other characters!), 596 damege combo without ultra but super.

Edit: haha just read Honda's combo into super does 610, oh well!

You know you can combo that into super right? :p
    It does 943 damage.

Finix, did you see the video in the link that I posted?

And regarding this, Yun has this in the bag unless you count Balrog's turn punch. Yun can do around 700 damage by doing Meaty Kobokushi - Kobokushi - Genei Jin - Kobokushi - Senpukyaku and so on. I need to find out exactly how many Kobokushi's, though.

It's unfortunate that a lot of lame players play those characters, else I think we'd see a lot more progress. I've been using Ken a lot lately trying to build on the basics a little like I have with Guile.

Yeah, Grueling sucks. I swear the thing reads inputs, because it techs just about every throw (and as someone who uses a lot of throws, this is a big deal), and can punish with an Ultra at a moment's notice. I wish they'd improve the AI a bit because Hard usually isn't enough for me, but Grueling is just stupid, so I'm stuck.

Actually, what would be REALLY cool (though completely unfeasible) is if the game could gather a sort of "profile" for a player based on how they play and bundle it together into a card that people could download, kinda like the Ghost Data thing they did for the PSP version of Tekken 5. For example, what are a player's most common tendencies when Cammy does an Ultra, or when Guile throws a Sonic Boom? Using this system, the computer could figure out what you do, from whatever distance, against whatever character and "profile" you. That way, you could play a facsimile of Fffan, Voloster, or whoever, but locally. And in a way, you could play against yourself. It would be a cool way to find out what the chinks in your armor are firsthand.

I could see the computer version doing this but our phones are retarded comparatively. A service like OnLive may be able to do it since it has high-end servers running the game :)

A kill on Cammy, C. Viper, Yun, Akuma, Chun-Li (?), and Dhalsim. In here. More in the Console.

Could there be a more stylish way to finish of a scrubby Akuma? I don't think so! :D

Yeah, I definitely understand that it's completely unfeasible for a smartphone these days. But it's essentially a more advanced version of what a smartphone already does (gathers data based on your actions) that could be a cool alternative to playing the AI were it to be fleshed out. Imagine being able to download "ghost data" of top players to play against! It would be amazing!

I care about this more than Yun getting his needed stuff, now. I need to be able to learn squall and Ken|Ken's tactics!
