Ooh, tier discussion. Me gusta. I reckon that gief is really overrated to be honest. Also theres no way dee jay is better than guile. His projectile has more startup and recovery, his anti air without down charge is much, much worse and he cant fadc his upkicks so he has bad wakeup. Hes not a bad character imo but guile is definitley better, especially regarding zoning. Abel could be b tier, but not A, he has too much trouble with gief, cammy,akuma, viper and everyone can jump on him all day. His mixups are really good though. And cammy is top 5, im not gonna rant about her anymore but imo she really is.
Regarding Gief, I was thinking about that yesterday. We say that Gief's throws do too much damage, but think about it. You can get damage something like his SPD damage with a St. P - Shoryuken, no? Although, his Ultra and Super...
Exactly. He has no safe chip, pretty average wakeup and terrible footspeed. By no means is he a bad character, but hes not up there with guile, ryu, sagat, bison, cammy and viper edit: his ultra is pretty ridiculous, possibly the best in the game, but just dont put yourself in a situation where you can easliy get hit by it. Having said that i eat it all the time but its usually because i did something stupid or got impatient.
I think it's also because you see all that health going down instantly. It feels like it does more. Also, you can do some nice chip and escape with EX Banishing Flat - FADC Back. Sure, it costs three meters, but it's pretty easy to gain meter with his double throw.
Cammy's terrible against most shotos especially Ryu and Ken that turtle. Considering 30% of the characters are Shotos, I think A tier is a bit much. Her throw range is also garbage and no way to chip damage without risk. When I used Ryu quite a bit, keeping Cammy out wasn't hard especially if you have a good anti-air. Also she has terrible recovery from her specials. Gief has good anti-air lariat and a good air move along with spinning backfist that lets him close quickly. Rog also has great pokes, pretty good footspeed, good anti-air and a great ultra that can be comboed into. I don't see how they are any worse than Cammy.

haha man good fights... i will play you more later. You have the becomings of a great bison...! I'm at work right now and had to take some calls during those matches, hence the stop moving on certain rounds and stupid play lol You need to work up on your mix up game... you have potential man!
my main is bison.... LOL I am at work right now though so I wasnt able to give you 100% bison... also, too much jumping around, and when I picked geif you stopped jumping around??? lol if you learn the mix up game a little better, take advtange of skull crusher... youll be really good!

yeah man, EX headstomp is where its at, as you can see while we were fighting, my headstomp beat out most of your normal jumps, jump attacks, and headstomps.... and connects in the air and knocks down... really good move. you definitly have the bison mirror match down good! although, the matchup is kind of a weak indication of character ability lol, thats why I used geif and blanka to really check you out We will have to play more later!!
