What's with the players with 0 bp, 0 wins/losses, and are f*cking experts at characters from the beginning?
I know - Eddie is short for Edmond... I tend to use Ryu, not Guile, but I shall try to adapt and take on board the advice - cheers! I always assume they a) have been only playing Friendly mode, or offline; or b) have deleted their game in order to start again.
That's cuz you haven't played my Guile yet. Add me and let's throw down sometime! I'm looking forward to checking out Makoto cuz I'm a Third Strike player. I guess we'll see how the ragequit penalty works out.
Temper! Temper! From reading a few of your posts you have a little temper there don't you young man? (lol) I enjoy reading your posts when your pissed off, they always make me laugh.
It was a genuine question, some of them are really, really good right away (As in focus canceling and all that). Was wondering if it's a glitch and not showing their stats correctly or something. And yes, this game makes me aggro. But in a good way.
Hey is it normal that in this update the player card resets? Now I have 0 BP, 0 loss and 0 win, and 0 contacts in player cards. I thought these data are saved on the server, like GC center or something, not locally on the device?
I don't think it's normal for your stats to be reset since mine were kept when I did the update. It has happened to me a few times when I was trying to beat grueling with all the characters to get Akuma, from pressing the home button and closing the app. The next time I opened it up, sometimes everything would be wiped.
It made my day when I read that ragequitters won't be getting anymore leeway I do wish that they'd put Hakan in the game already, though!
Well i`m really happy with sakura and makoto And i`m sure that we will get in maximum 2 months fei long and evil ryu, but i can`t stop but feel that that will be it for a long time! Maybe my judgement is wrong, but if capcom would put more players as IAP, people will be happy, they`ll buy all of them (who wouldn`t) and capcom makes money and it`s win win )! I guess i`m saying this because i just want some characters very much (juri, ibuki, rose, yun etc.)
Been playing around with Sakura. They took away her jumping neutral fierce kick and a big part of my (amateur) game with her is based on people jumping in from inside half distance and me landing that kick to start a combo. Also her jumping towards kick is the crossup kick and not the hard kick, also a bummer since I find it harder to crossup on this mobile version. I'm more of a zoner anyway. Otherwise she has still has good stuff to play with. And WOW you guys weren't joking about Makoto, that walking animation is a freaking JOKE, I thought something was wrong with the game when I tried it. I'm increasingly dissatisfied with Capcom's shoddy work on iOS. SF only gets a pass because it's SF and is the template for playable fighting games on the iDevice. But SNK showed them badly up with KOF and now this.. this is terrible. Sigh. What's a Street Fighter fan to do? I've been hooked on this game since a kid.
Don't you own SF4 on any consoles? I know it's an easy excuse for Capcom to make but mobile platforms aren't the best option for fighting games. Hell, the only good handheld fighters I can think of off the top of my head are some Neo Geo Pocket games, KOF for the gameboy and there was a pretty cool Fatal Fury game for the Game Gear. I'd say these were all good but not great.
I have SF2, Capcom SNK 2 and SF4 on my PS3. Had SF3 but my brother took it when he got married, so I'll have to wait till SF3 Online. Yeah I know fighting games aren't as great on a touchscreen as on a console, Sakura is my main on PS3 and here on my iPod Touch I'm struggling to make her work right in comparison. But otherwise I can do enough to have fun when I have my iPod with me. And try King of Fighters-i. It's awesome (save for no online multiplayer).
SF3 is gonna be awesome, dude. I can't wait for it. I really want to buy King of fighters - i but I'm kind of on the fence over it, too. Not because the game doesn't look gorgeous or anything like that, but to be honest I'm not a fan of fighting games on portables that much. I also have been a huge KOF fan since 95 came out and was sorely disappointed with XII. So far, XIII looks to be a huge improvement on it but this time I won't buy it for console until I read reviews that say the online play isn't total garbage like XII's was. I'm excited for Skullgirls too but I don't want to derail this topic any further
Stupid question, but are there SF games available for the Wii? It's the only console I own and I rarely use it.
Not that I know of. Unless Street Fighter Championship Edition or one of those is available for Wii Ware, but I doubt it. Your best bet for a fighting game on the Wii would be one of the DBZ Budokai or Tenkaichi games or Smash Bros. There was a Castlevania fighting game that came out for the Wii but I played a little bit of it and thought it was horrible.
