Haha. She really is an awful matchup. I've always felt that Cammy was a tougher matchup, but I'm finding now that I can easily hang with weaker Cammys. Maybe it's due to matches against Snooper, Apprunner and even a couple brief ones lately against redtiger. Either way, I'm getting crushed lately by Vipers. Standing kick works wonders but isn't enough. I used to have this matchup down pretty well but Vipers are changing their tactics so much these days. I played one this weekend that did nothing but walk toward me while I was on the ground. Then when I got up, he seemed to read my mind. He did instant jump/burn kicks to cross me up over and over. When I attempted to block the cross up he'd throw me or work in a small combo. It drove me nuts.

I still hate Cammy and Bison, but Viper and Blanka may have surpassed them.

Edit: And Felix reminded me, Yun can also be really tough depending on play style.

Yun is a bad matchup for him too, but I need to re-evaluate how to play against Dhalsim.

I know it well, and often not until I see the "good match" button show up.

    not Blanka!
Sim has enough tools to zone out Blanka and punishes Blanka's mistakes.
Viper, however, punishes every Dhalsim mistakes. Dhalsim needs to play an extra cautious, run-away game against Viper.

First time I've seen pandora in play, but leading up to it, the endless tatsus were ridiculous. The Marduk double toss, Ryu Hadouken combo was pretty awesome.

Yea, I think whenever an EX move is used, you can follow it up with some move to keep the combo going. Loved the Marduk-Ryu combo too. That charged hadouken doesn't even use a meter!

I forgot if it was Renic or NerdJosh, but in the most damage combo for the combo challenge day, they were working on Hugo and he was able to do 950 damage with Pandora during practice. There was only 3 tries to do it in the challenge and he wasn't able to pull it off.

I think the Cammy Viper match is pretty even. I don't see how Cammy has a huge advantage over Viper...Snooper thinks so but the Viper play these days has been very good and its tough as Cammy can't jump against her.

Justgodude good matches man, I never really enjoy the Fei Mirror match but for some reason it was really fun with you. The last match got kinda laggy and my battery was about to die otherwise I'd have kept playing. Sorry about my scrubby ryu I thought you might have been getting burned out on the mirror so I changed it up.

GGs Voloster! Fei mirrors are difficult for me but yours was extremely stressful. Coming from a 2 day break doesnt help either haha. It was definitely fun playing you. I was hoping the lag at the end was gonna clear up but there is always next time. Hope to see you participate in the Fei Tournament!

Back in the lab, in search for new interesting tech ..

Couldn't get Armor Cancelling to work with either Balrog or Abel .. I'm wonder if Armor Cancelling is available at all in Volt, or if that part of the engine was stripped out. Anyone else tried?
(an odd glitch that allows you Balrog's EX dash to absorb one hit on the 1st frame of animation, and you can cancel into special/super/ultra. In addition, the EX costs 0 bars)

Tested and found that Negative Edge works, but haven't found any practical applications yet for viper, esp with SP Assist so readily available.
(Negative Edge means that you can do a hadouken with d, df, f + P, or hold P, then d, df, f + release P. The act of pressing -or- releasing a P/K/SP button counts as part of the controls)

Negative edge isn't particulary useful in this game simple because it's a touch screen.

That's incorrect, the harder combos on this game require it (assuming you aren't using sp assist).

low kick > medium TK can be punished by a cammy cannon spike, yes.

mind you, viper always has an option of just low kick > nothing or low kick > *tink* and bait out a cannon spike.

it's been known to happen once or twice.

low kick > medium TK is a bit harder to counter on reaction, compared to seismo > burn kick -- plenty of time in the later to reaction, comparitively.

definitely becomes a guessing game, on wake-up, cammy's cannon spike has priority/invincibility over anything viper can throw out.

No. Viper's medium knuckle cannot be punished after it hits a block. She resets. all you can do is hit between low kick and medium knuckle with uppercut but then thats a risk (Vaceotyn just sits there doing low kick and i miss my dp).

You can always try for a throw but then they do that low kick medium knuckle a lot so you get punished. You jump kick and she will uppercut you. I find you need to be at medium range with her to win...that way you can punish seismo at reaction with spiral arrow or do bait her into a flame kick you can uppercut. also you can jump kick her if she isn't expecting it and do a combo. She has lousy hitpoints so you can kill her with a couple heavy hits

The question I have is: if everyone gets hit by vipers low kick - electric punch, why do we all allow her to be that close in the first place?

The burning kick hits a block and then she goes for low-kick medium knuckle x2. I rarely get hit by it but if you start to walk back, she can seismo you to hell :( I'm not that good against Viper...hard matchup for me.
