just started playing this recently, bought this at launch but never got into it.

I'm having a hard time getting the shoryuken motion down. I can do it but can't seem to get it down 100%.

    Any tips?

I know!! Completely dropped my expectation of everyone ragequitting on me now. It's a little weird though, have all the ragequitters left or did they learn their lesson? I don't see anyone with ridiculous stats anymore.

Use the SP shortcut like I do? You'll never get the motions down pat as with a physical controller.

Just had eight rage quitters in a row.:mad:I hope they all get suspended or whatever soon. I'm trying to be patient until it happens, though.

They're easy to spot now because their BP is almost always really low.

Following a tip from someone on another forum, and in the manner of the jump-back-hurricane-kick thing Grueling Sagat falls for nearly every time, just beaten Bison 2-0 on Grueling using nothing but crouching block and dragon punch (as Ken).

Can't guarantee it'll work every single time (or any other time, I suppose, but it works on the original SFIV app too...), but it seems to make him either headstomp, walk toward you, or sliding kick nearly all the time - which you can then punish with a dragon punch (assuming you've got one, of course).

Might be worth a try for anyone struggling with him?

It's really tough when trying to do EX moves with lag.

People like tognesimo will eventually start playing each other and have a ragequitting galore.

It's the yellow SP button on the joypad - if you have 'SP Assist' turned on in Options, it provides shortcuts to special moves (for example, if you were playing as Ryu, pressing SP would give you a fireball, holding forward and pressing SP would give you a dragon punch, and holding back and pressing SP produces a hurricane kick.).

Otherwise, the best advice I've been given is to forget about using the visual pad as a joystick and 'draw' the shape of the move onto the stick (drawing a 'z' shape on the stick for a dragon punch, &c).

I like to think, once the quit-swamp is firmly established, games will eventually become a race to see who can quit first...

Like Grey said draw the Z. It's hard for me to tell anyone how to do it when it associates with their thumb because i'm so used to my arcade stick.

Edit: oh nvm. Yea, winners still don't get anything when people ragequit on you.

No, sadly - which means people might still quit out of spite, just to stop you getting the win...

Because if they gave you an automatic win, someone could potentially figure out a way to game that system and boost their BP even higher.

Anyways, I wonder how long I'll have to wait for Fei Long/E. Ryu. It's funny ,when I started playing SF iOS, there was more screen than characters, now there's almost too many characters to fit on the screen.
