That's what I do but im thinking about changing that. When I play friendlies im not as focused and I get sloppy. If you practice playing like crap you will play like crap. I'm thinking of only playing ranked (there are some hurrdles I need to overcome first, headstomp being one of them), but this will keep me focused and the competition is better/tougher.

Yeah, I hear you. I didn't really feeling like "I am playing a game" until I stopped, it was kinda weird feeling...I was playing game because I wanted to entertain myself and relief the stress of everyday life.. But I was gaining those stress from it...lol
Ivwshane. I don't think this is completely true. People tend to play too defensively in ranked so if you are trying to practice certain counters it's the wrong place. I actually find players like Yamiel who only play friendlies but have excellent skill provide better training and willing to go ten sets.
Found Ken|Ken in ranked and took down his Dhalsim. But with Sagat. He's still doing good, although his Teleports infuriated me. So much easier to beat with Yun...
I think this comment is very accurate to the fact. Having gone through tons of replays by 3800~4000+ players in Japanese server, I must say they're spending a minute in a second. lol
That's exactly how I used to feel. I would win and lose matches equally and I even deleted volt .. I couldn't get past 2k bp. What helped me is that I stopped using guile. Even though I was pretty good with him, I just couldnt handle all these characters, while playing a rushdown guile, which is how you play I believe. My advice is to play that walk back > sb > high kick or air throw guile that never loses or pick a new char. I play ryu and cody in ranked which is doing great for me.
