GG Doc. Sorry had to go so soon but work calls. I think its the first time we played. Hope to play you again in the future
If you start the corner combo with a Tetsuzanko - Genei Jin, you need to Senpukyaku - Kobokushi - walk forward - Kobokushi. The non-corner one needs the proper timing, so continue practicing with it... If you want to skip that, just practice 10 friendlies and one ranked with Yun. Rinse and repeat.
NotYou was fkin right!!! You cant even touch Sagat while he's just standing there spaming Kicks!! Lariat- Whiffs wont reach him, you get tigerkneed Jump-in: Tigerknee trade but Gief gets knocked back to the other side of the screen Grab- 20% chance you'll actually grab him out of his kick, but if you whiff your in for some hurt Greenhands: PUNISHABLE ON BLOCK AND HIT, I thought I was crazy when he kept tigerkneeing and uppercutting blocked and on hit Greenhands, but then he Ultra'd it!! what in the FFF... 13 Game set lost all 13 Games, Sagat is untouchable in this game. He had around 2500 BP
Dude, as I posted earlier, CROUCHING KICK SOLVES THAT EASY!!! Trade a few times with normal standing chops too, it makes them stop spamming the kick so much, and after you sweep them once or twice, you are in their head.. *edit* EX banishing works well too, causes lots of stun, also regarding the grab, I haven't got the timing down perfect, but someone like Cyrus probably is able to grab EASY
Back atcha. I really have no idea what to do with Cammy's uppercut. It's like Ken's its so fast, theres really nothing I can do to beat it. If you cancel it, I won't recover from blockstun in time to react and I get Thrown. I'm so f*cking frustrated with this game right now. I've lost almost every game I've played today and im about to give up on ranked. I'm just not a high BP player and I guess I just need to accept that. And I've lost all these really close matches too. If I don't get fcking stomped, the match is close and I lose. Ugh. I hate this game. >_<
You will get there too! After so much playing you will see some of the same strategies by each character and you will begin to beat the easy players (>1700BP). Then you will start to learn how to adjust to some of the better strategies and executing your own characters combos. Next you will develope your own strategies and you will be a 2000-2400BP player struggling to fight against similar skilled players. Then you will start to learn countering and you will be able to not only see holes in peoples strategies but you will also be able to exploit them. That will get you to 2400-3000BP. From here, you will learn the little nuances of your character and other characters, you will start making up your own combos and learning how to play head games. That will get you to 3500BP, From there its all about perfecting your skill so that you don't make mistakes any longer, you no longer feel any pressure and you enter a Zen like state where the game plays fast but to you its playing at half speed. After that I don't know what happens, I haven't got that far (I'm still a 3000BP fighter).
I know how you feel. And it's so addicting that you can't stop, too. It's admirable how Snooper did it, in a way. But don't worry, you'll recover from it soon.
Um....The battle against Sagat does need not only skills but also guts. Take a note that you can't crack every sagat's move works. All you need is to convey a msg to Sagat" I dun care how much you hit me, I just want find a chance to knock you down before i was faint" Therefore, spam lariat (Sometimes use ex banishing flat to crack his standing kick which is safer) for the distance you expect he use standing kicks. You will trade the damage indeed but it worths. All you need is to get close and play the guessing game QUICKLY. DO NOT STAND OR WALK BACK, JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD. DO NOT TAKE LONG TIME FOR PLAYING WITH HIM, THE PACING OF ZANGIEF IS THE KEY TO WIN OVER SAGAT. After you succeed to knock him down, I will sometime give FBA. Sometime i will give a ex banishing flat to meet his uppercut.I wont hurt coz the ex banishing flat enables me to be invincible and the position will change. The timing is just very right for SPD or Ultra. If you still have questions, i suggest you watch my replay first.
I once felt that way and a character switch helped me. I was a Ryu player for a long time due to my SF2 days but I found a character who was more in line with how I wanted to play the game in Cammy. Maybe a switch will re-invigorate you
Well, I've been following your advice, and I hover around 1500 a lot now. Thing is, though, I reached 3000 without RQing, but then it started up again. I was just wondering how long it took for you to get high up again.
Honestly... BN was started and they had teams and rankings, I played the entire first day that was out... and something crazy happened, I got a 35 win streak and just unlocked a new lvl of skill... it litterly happened over nigh But, I know that when I was RQitting like a little pussy and crying over each lost match, THAT was holding me back.... once I stopped that it helped a lot
Maybe. Ive been fooling around with Viper lately. But that's going to take a lot more work, and to be honest, I don't know if I really feel like starting over again learning a new character. We'll see I guess.
You're going through a slump and focusing on something as meaningless as BP doesn't help. Have fun and try to improve your game. To get better, I watched Snooper replays when they came out. One great thing about BN is that my game as improved drastically due to watching replays of great fighters. I studied film to get better
Hey Wediafom, I see this article on SRK about 'Southtown Arcade' in SF... I wanted to ask you, is this the same dirty, smoky arcade up on top of broadway in Northbeach area between all those porn shops? Have you been there...dont know if its the same spot or not but they had a wealth of old fighters and pinball games in there about 4 or 5 yrs ago. It was pretty run down thats why i ask...I wish there was a good arcade in this town.
