iPad STREET FIGHTER IV Volt - [Capcom]

Looks like Capcom might have made a solid update for once, I'll give multiplayer another try once I've updated but I can't help but wonder if this update will stop people from playing online with the old version I hope it does or it's a little pointless.

Annoyingly I can't update just now as Itunes is doing it's usual nonsense of showing the update but downloading the old version guess I'll have to leave it a few hours.

 

Excellent icon. Not much of a Street Fighter fanatic but who the heck are the two new characters? I know some of them but I have no clue on the latest ones

Yes! New update! Will update as soon as possible! Excited for the characters. Don't really care for the ragequit update since I can't play online but it's a good addition.

 

Which ultra does Sakura have?

 

It wont update! When I try to it starts, but then it it switches from loading to the app name.

 

EXCELLENT! Been waiting for this update since it was announced. ^__^

Makoto is my main in SSFIV, and basically this just makes the game the best brawler on iOS for me. For those who don't know her, Mak is the fighter in the roster who uses a style of traditional karate instead of the fireball-throwing Shotos.

I just hope they kept most of her stuff in, plus I wonder what her Ultra is? Hoping it's Abare Tosanami which should be great for countering fireball chuckers...

 

Nice update, Capcom! You love those rage quitters more than everyone else. #justsaying

 

So, Sakura's Ultra is her metsu hadoken (whatever in the hell the Japanese name for it is, I can't remember worth crap), wherein if you just launch it it'll go straight, but if you hold back and do it, it'll go on an angle, just like in the console version.

And Makoto's Ultra is NOT Abare Tosanami, it's her BALL BUSTING Seichuusen Godanzuki! Haha, I must admit, that phrase got nailed in my head because of how BRUTAL this Ultra is. Good lord.

But even with this Ultra, she can counter Fireball spammers like nothing. Her EX Hayate is perfect. ALTHOUGH, I DO HATE her animation. See, Makoto has the slowest walking speed of all SF characters. But in this version, it looks really choppy when she walks. It's the one thing I dislike about her. But I just dash everywhere anyway.

All in all, they are as much fun as they are in Arcade Edition.

By the way, anyone have a look in the updated files, is there any goodies hidden within this update? Just wonderin'. I already beat their challenges and beat Akuma in Arcade mode with both and got just the usual Icons and titles. But you never know..

So those that love disconnecting will face just each other? That's awesome! Not so awesome if your disconnects are because of notifications though...

Edit: Wow... Makoto looks REAL bad when just walking. Sakura's Ultra might be a problem for me when using Bison.

 

played 4 matches, won 1, other 3 rage quit, so with the penalty again? why ppl still doing it... wtf

 

Just so you don't get the win? That could be it, or they still have not noticed the loss that they get.

 

I've only played one match which I actually won with no rage quitting believe it or not it's the first win on my record as up to now every single player I beat quit.

Probably be a day or two before they all realise their penalising themselves, I think this should improve the game online quite a bit but I'm still preferring KOF.

 

just a great update! i was sure they would do sth about the quitting, so very good job capcom! oh, and sure, SAKURA FTW (and makoto too )

 

anyone knows if we would be matched with players running an older version? logically speaking, that shouldn't work, since the older version doesn't have Sakura and Makoto... but I noticed that the game doesn't seem to do any version checks...

Maybe it doesn't do a version check when you first load up the app, but there definitely HAS to be a check when you start doing the search for matches.

 

edit: Sorry, didn't know they aren't Capcom's videos so I retract my comment about the opponents being super stupid and easy to beat.
