I've had a lot of marathon sessions against YYOJJO, n30, and Vaceotyn recently so had a lot of practice. I got lucky against you in a few rounds also.

Notyou, dun you remember what a Gief should be? A Gief should be aggressive. He is a hunter and the rival are just the huntees. You go hunting them. The shotos can have only one chance to give his fireball. After that, you should knock him down and play the guessing game after his wake up. I have uploaded the play against shotos for you. Go downloaded and watch it how I play against shotos.

D4. Apprunner was my main account till I switched my play over to the iPad. I use to farm BP with my Apprunner account by playing only 3 matches a day on ranked. :D. I tried that on my iPad account and at one point both my accounts had 4k+ BP. There you have the secret to high BP. Now I use my iPhone only for friendlies as I usually am distracted while playing being out and about.

Cyrus, did you release any shoto replays lately? I'm looking and can't see them, just RedTiger.

I'm really interested to see how your Gief handles them.

The secrets have been revealed! Oh thank you wise one!

...now the thing is, when I play ranked, I kinda turn into a crack addict with an overly compulsive gambling problem. Once I win 1 game, I just keep wanting more lol.

Good Games Cyrus, I was going nuts during our first game, I almost had it!! You destroyed me though 5'od. I thought my new anti gief Viper technology would give you some problems, you caught on to my game though and adjusted accordingly. Best Gief in the world right now.

By the way your comment has to be the most godlike comment I've read.

Good game D4Gamers. Um i think you dun know my playing style so you are stuck for the games. If you watch other viper's player like n3ro209, yyojjo, they dun give me a chance to get close and keep using the hammer just in the beginning. You can do it as the hammer is the move makes people frustrate even rage quit. Once you master the hammer, not many players can defeat you.

BTW: The comment is really the thought of me. I just wanna find someone who can beat me. So far there are 4 people who beat me completely. ( somehow it is like PV's comment: 4pp beat me.lol). Slrc's guile, Yyojjo's viper, TenOnez' s barlog and Null roar's blanka. Hope someday i could figure out the way to beat them.

Meh, the hammer is like a 2edged sword for me, it's done me wonders and it's gotten me killed. So I use it sparingly. Plus you kept jumping lol

If you are that good with zangief. Why you weren't using 1 green hand forwards..
And I charch't you 3 time's out, maybe if you body-jumpt it could help a little bit.
If you want a rematch vs my viper/ryu say it. BUT DON'T RQ ANYMORE ;)

You can cancel the hammer and do it again to disturb the rival. Plus when the rival jumps, you can anticipate where he lands and give the hammer. I had tried it many times. It is like zoning as the Shotos' fireball.

I've got to agree with you here. I play Dhalsim so I've probably got the biggest advantage over Gief, or at least in the top 5 since the update. These days, I don't run into any Giefs with less than 2000 BPs, so they're always a huge mental challenge despite the advantage. Every one of these 2000+ BP Giefs knows how to get in against Dhalsim (green hand, lariat and body jump are the most popular, although a good Sim can still counter once the Gief shows his pattern). It takes time and patience but it's not that hard when you get the hang of it. The tougher part is keeping me from getting away once they're in. I've turned getting out of the corner against Gief into an artform, but sometimes I still get caught and pummeled. I don't think I have any losses to Gief saved, but I'll check to make sure.

Anyway, there's no way in hell that I'm voluntarily going in on Gief more than once or twice in a round, and those are based on the surprise factor and a lack of super/ultra for the Gief I'm facing. I'm not just going to stand there while he walks toward me. If he's walking toward me, he's getting my fists to his knees or a fireball to force him in the air.

I haven't run into Vaceotyn, but YYOJJO and Nero were everywhere this weekend with the Viper tourney going on. I really wish the Sim tourney had been this week. I'm leaving for vacation next week and won't have wifi.

    The low tier.
    +1

Playing up close and personal with Gief is just a losing battle. He has more priority, more damage and is more likely to cause a hard knockdown. The only time you want to be on top of gief is when he is the one getting up.

Berserker, Good Games, I'm sorry for the quit. I hope I didn't leave you sitting at the rematch screen to long. Something Important came up so I had to leave.

Also excuse my sloppy Viper play, I was currently eating some very greasy KFC popcorn chicken, my hands were slipping all over the place lol.

Holy crap, guys. I used the word "drunk" four times in that post. How seriously can you possibly take it? :p

I am trying to get more aggressive with Gief, though. But, for the record, most of the guys I was complaining about lost. They basically ran away so I couldn't get the KO, but it never worked for them and I'd either eventually catch them, or win by the clock. I was just getting annoyed that they all thought that was good plan and did it over and over and over. My annoyance came from nobody wanting to fight, it wasn't about winning or losing.

But, again, I really was drunk and just doing poorly. The real, sober me has gotten much, much better at chasing down spammers and runners.

I never said I was good with him. I've been saying the opposite. The reason I'm only doing friendlies right now is because I'm training with him. My biggest hurdle ATM is spammers. I think I've figured out most of them now, though.

I would certainly be up for a rematch. I'm really not a rage quitter, honest:eek:

I'd love to play you again sometime. I don't think I've faced you since the update. But I'm at the office and no wifi.
