It's running on my 2G iPod Touch right now, but it does feel a little sluggish. I'm just trying it for the first time, though, so I'll see how it goes over time.
~~~ regarding device compatibilities ~~~ Crex and others you will be very happy to hear that this game works on ipod touch 2g 8gb as well as the ipod touch 3g 8gb model. you have a 100% guarantee from me. and if you're scared of buying due to the compatibility notice then i'm sorry but you guys are missing out on some online fun. also i do not know how to contact the company but if any one does please tell them to change their device compatibility info.
Any jailbreakers with 3G Unrestricter try this over 3G? I'm definitely buying it. I didn't jailbreak to pirate apps!
Yeah but back then the problem was most people had no one to multiplayer with - now there's no excuse .
He clearly said that he wasn't going to pirate the game. He only wanted to know if it was possible to play online multiplayer over 3G using 3G Unrestrictor. There's a whole lot of other things to do with a jailbroken device besides pirate apps.
I beat the game on Hard without losing a round or continuing. No Akuma yet. I used Ryu and Ken both times and nothing changed. I am having a very difficult time not losing any rounds on Grueling.
I never accused him of it. At all. Just referring to pirates in general. A sort of "in disbelief" comment. No shame.
So I've played a bit now with the 2G Touch 8GB, and after resetting my device the performance did improve somewhat. There's still a few special effects that seem to slow down play a bit, so perhaps their description of the requirements was more of an indication of what was needed for smooth performance. I haven't tried online play at all, because my network connection really isn't up to most online games; someone else will have to find out how plausible that is on the 2G.
So, have we conclusively found what the "bonus" is for also having the original SFIV? I deleted it off my iPod and I don't want to redownload it if I don't have to.
You used 'you' which could be misinterpreted as referring to him. But I do agree with you, pirates are despicable. Lowest of the low. All the hard-working and struggling developers that can't even get by because of all the pirates.
for ipod touch 2g yeah so ipod touch 2g play might lag a bit at first so i recommend that you guys hard reset or reboot your ipods first. when i played online it was amazing except for the occasional server lag but its playable after reboot. happy fighting? ~ajaysaini
You get the IAP stuff from the original for free - additional outfit for Ryu (well less of an outfit really...) and Chun-Li, and option to have SFII sounds, music and menu background. Kind of odd as these aren't available in Volt and there is no further reason to keep the old one hmmm.
Does anyone know what this yet? Sorry if this has already been addressed. Thanks! So excited for online multiplayer. My stats on SFIV show that I've played 143 local multiplayer matches. Awesome that it's going to be so much easier to catch a game with friends now. Edit: Found the answer to my question, thanks. However, I don't need both games to be synced at the same time to get the gifts do I? Don't think I'll have enough room. Edit 2: Jk, don't bother answering. Not interested in any of those 'gifts' lol.
Dissapointing, as I'd already bought all that. Oh well. Feel free to add me. My gamecenter name is Dr Traveler and I'm pickin this up tonight. Too many wasted days in the arcade not to.
No, I don't think playing lots of multiplayer matches does that. Wasn't even aware I was missing a fighter, lol. Deleting the game as soon as Volt finishes downloading in any case.
Oh whoops, I read that wrong. For some reason I thought you racked up 143 fights on the Volt already. Ahh... so you do have a life!
