Tiiiiips! Zangief's tick throw game is REALLY good. Some ways for it are: Cr. K or St. LP/x2 or even St. LK. Sometimes, doing a normal throw will really catch people off guard. The only reason why you'd even want to do a normal throw is because it's untechable and gives you much time to cross your opponent up with Flying Body Slam - Sweep. Seeing as Zangief's meter isn't of much importance, if you've got to finish your opponent off and you hit them with an EX Banishing Flat (green hand), do an EX Focus Attack and dash forward. You might manage to get an SPD in. If you're trying to gain meter, for whatever reason, do his Double Suplex move. This move gains more meter on whiff, gains more meter against the opponent even if their health has gone down completely, and gives you a huge amount of time to do the Flying Body Slam crossup. His Double Lariat is a really good anti-air. Use it against those who think air trolling is fun. If you land a late Double Lariat hit against someone, you can add an extra hit with EX Banishing Flat. Or you can just Double Lariat - FADC Back Dash - EX Banishing Flat. If your opponent seems to jump in front of you a lot, if you get close, Double Lariat instead of SPD-ing so that you can catch them. This will usually make them switch up their tactics a bit, so you can probably SPD them. This is just some basic stuff, but I'm not the best Gief player. I've probably made a mistake or two here, but whatever. This should help.
Not at the moment, actually. Thanks anyway. So hieu, what I recommend (in regards to Yun) doing is practice these in the training room first. In dummy, select Guard, and it should switch to auto or something like that. The Dummy will occasionally block. What I want you to do is this (I'll give you more instructions later): On hit: Raigeki Shuu - Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Nishokyaku Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Nishokyaku Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - EX Nishokyaku x2 (corner) (Zenpou Tenshin optional)Cl. St. MK - Raigeki Shuu - Dash Forward - Zenpou Tenshin (You should end up on your opponent's other side) On block: Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Tetsuzanko (Raigeki Shuu optional) Cr. LK/x2 - Zenpou Tenshin - Cl. St. MK - Tetsuzanko - Dakai Cr. LK/x2 - Zenpou Tenshin - Cr. MP - Nishokyaku Cr. LK/x2 - Zenpou Tenshin - TC 1 - Nishokyaku Raigeki Shuu - Cr. HP - Zenpou Tenshin - Cr. LK - TC 1 - EX Nishokyaku x2 (corner) Practice the spacing you need for Zesshou Hohou to be safe
He he he, no need to be so formal. Mimimapu is a really good player, and I just had a bit of depression because I felt like I was no good. But I'm alright now. Enjoy yourself, 'cause I'm gonna go hit the sack.
I had a 8 game marathon with YYoJJo in ranked and lost 7 of them. He's crazy good. I lost 1000BP tonight cause of those ranked marathon losing sessions . Ranked was great tonight. Almost no rage quitters and even though im around 3k BP, most fun I've had in awhile. A good night in ranked rocks
Uploaded a lot of replays of 3k Guiles and some decent Bisons. Lots of them tonight. Lost a lt to a Viper. It was a good night
Long time. Played a lot of marathon sessions. Lost a lot because was stubborn and kept trying to beat people I can't normally beat like YYOJJO. He's a beast. Got all the way down to 2700BP. But a couple unsuspecting Guiles in the 3k range and a surprisingly stubborn high ranked Sagatb brought me back to almost 3200 . BP is easy to get
Hey! I set up a Zangief Clan to gather the Zangeif brother, join me to share the strategy.... To meļ¼There are 4 things bear in mind! 1. Never be afraid of you rival, the rival should be afraid of you. Try to do as aggressive as you could. Never hold back. Strike your best to force the rival to corner. 2. Use the banishing flat. To get close to the rival, banishing flat is a good move to do it. Sometime you should deliberately use the move but not hit the rival. After that, this is a good timing for spd/super/ultra. Try to count the distance in training room. Beside the normal banishing flat, the ex one is even more promising. If you are knocked down by the rival especially the shotos, use the banishing flat once you wake up. In my experience, the rival will off their alert especially the shotos will give projectile when you wake up. The ex banishing flat has time to be invincible, use more!! 3. Use the flying body attack After knocking down the rival, use the flying the body attack to the rival. Since the FBA has cross attack, it hit the rival's back. If the shotos give uppercut, they will hurt. After the FBA, you could either use the combo (FBA-->cr punches *3--> banishing flat) or keep using the FBA. 4. Use the lariat as the antiair attack. Use the double lairiat....
Thanks for the help Felix and Cyrus! I have a ways to go still. I'm getting used to the FBA on wakeup. Very useful. I still need to work on approaching opponents. It seems almost everybody turns into a coward around Gief and start playing keep-away. I'm trying to get the hang of moving in on them effectively. I broke my vow and started playing again tonight. Same crap as before: hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken hydoken If it's not that it's somebody who can't throw fireballs and just stays on the opposite side of the screen at all costs. Which makes all kinds of sense, right? The best way to win at a fighting game is to run away and never attack... I've also noticed almost all of them just jump constantly. And I don't mean they jump to avoid throws. They just hold up throughout the match I'm hoping this is just because I'm playing at night (night people on friendly are as obnoxious as it gets) Is this stuff Gief faces all the time? If it is, I'm not sure I want to deal with it. I'm even seeing Sakura spamming fireballs. That doesn't even make sense! I don't mean to sound all salty. I'm enjoying using him. I'm just debating if he's worth the hassle of my opponents always running from me. I'll try again tomorrow.
Haha~ the longer you play the more BP will fall in my opinion~ cos people tend to get tired after long play~
Hi Redtiger~ I received your friend request~ I rem we fought once very very long time ago~ Very solid Cammy~ We shall play sometime ya~ although Cammyss always kill me~ Oh yea~ sorry I cannot play now~ Cause I'm working now~ What is your timezone?
Block and dash away/jump away punching. You still do get damage if Gief did his spinning, at least he loose some damage as well.. Edit: if you were air punching from right distance, though. If too close..you know.
Thank you for the lovely present !! Good games jack, you see, I only can play Vega. lol Yoi did very well!
