@tognesimo: i feel similar, but you can't deny that the EVO matches are really thrilling! Also, it's a nice break from complaining and arguing about ragequitters!
The lag really lets this game down. I sort of expected it in online play but bluetooth as well! Still, when online play is operating properly.. its thoroughly enjoyable, more so than KOF-i imo wish list: fix/improve online play and add more characters to the roster like Evil Ryu, Yun or Oni.
Hmm, personally i enjoy the differences between KoF and SF- i myself rank KoF higher, since the combo mechanics as well as strategies are a little more complex and varied, but since it has a faster pace, i'm not sure it'd even work well online if there was the slightest hint of lag. As it is, my control inputs in SF online often get messed up in terms of timing, so i just play singleplayer more often. (I refuse to use SP assist due to being a purist, but there's nothing wrong with it per se.) A fix would be awesome, though.
anyone here plays Cody? about his ruffian kick FADC ultra it seems impossible for me to connect the ultra every time without using the shortcut i put in manual command and always whiff although I usually connect with Ryu's and Sagat ultra after FADC from uppercut
Fair enough, I can see why you would find KOF more enjoyable if you prefer more complexity and single player. Personally its the simple nature of SF4 which makes it more playable for someone like me with average skills. ..and now that Volt adds online play, thats definitely plus points imo. I always thought the first SF4 on iOS was excellent, but then I'd go through a period of months without playing it, simply because single player gets very boring after a while no matter the difficulty setting.
lol, Outspoken- i just replied to you over in the KoF thread! I'm by no means an expert at all- i just enjoy the depth of both games- for me they're far more entertaining than that physics engine with birds and pigs tacked on to it... For me, i like the challenge of having pressure (AI, or another person), and trying to link moves together meaningfully into combos in such a situation- it's satisfying to land a good combo that you had practiced in training mode, or to use it to react against an unpredictable opponent, at the exact correct moment.
I've had laggy games but I've also had silky smooth games on both ranked and friendly matches. I guess it all depends on both player's location. Same goes for bluetooth too, but I had one dropped bluetooth game although both devices are right next to each other.
another quick question im not able to perform cross up tatsu what is the timing? distance? height of jump to perform tatsu?
I know how you can unlock akuma and have done it but how do you unlock akumas stage: desert temple? Im sure you can because ive played it online on that stage when my opponent had to choose the stage.
That's fair enough! (Particularly when someone like me also sucks and has worked damn hard for his completely even record*!) *Obviously I'd have a lot more wins if it wasn't for the quitters, but what can you do? That was scary, wasn't it? Daigo didn't even break a sweat...
I've unlocked the mushroom world stage and the secret character Squidward. All you gotta do is tap each corner of the screen 5 times then say "open sesame".
