Random Sakura factoid: EX Shunpukyaku (hurricane), EX Shouoken (uppercut), Ultra is 451/185 (corner only). Depending where you hit with the Shouoken, it might do as low as 421 or 446. The links are pretty slow (maybe 0.5s between each. The link between Shouoken and Ultra lets you take the tiniest step back). This is marginally better than EX Shunpukyaku, Ultra (425/125) However, leading with cr f, p goes up to 503/293. 486/245 without the EX Shouoken. Interestingly, if you hit them really deep with the EX Shouoken, the Shouoken itself does more damage, but the Ultra won't hit. Tangent: I think Shouoken is the most damaging non-meter followup to EX Shunpukyaku, but the timing is a bit tricky

You have to bait it out. Anytime you see that ultra flashing there's a high chance that your opponent is going to use it whenever possible. Always be ready. For Blankas, try to be in a crouching position if you're close so if they try it, you have a chance to block it.. Provided you didn't hit any buttons.
Wait, is it PalringoApp or just Palringo? Cuz there's a guy named PalringoApp who plays the most lame, boring runaway game you've ever seen. I played him a couple times and just got so bored, I lost on purpose. Teck is that guy }{T}{ that's played in that last tourney you ran. The only one I don't know of is jl0713. Unless someone can vouch for him, I'm kickin' 'im! But they never use it until they're right on top of me and I'm trying to finish up the round. If I do anything offense-based that requires me to be within sweep distance of them, chances are, they're going to use it. What should I do, just crouch and wait? My only recourse is pretty much to play runaway and try to poke them to death, which is dumb. It's a dumb hail mary move like a lot of the Ultras in this game. They destroy the incentive to use combos, take away options from the player who's playing better, and make the game into a turtle-fest.

I agree. Making Ultras a one-button move (and I'll cop to using the shortcut myself) takes an element of the game that already causes problems WITHOUT the ease of execution, and turns it into a WIN button in some cases because now, you don't even have to worry about messing up the control motions.

Palring0_App changed his name to Ten0nez and joined Team TouchArcade with hacked stats... I don't mind Ultras (even though I rarely use it). I just wish they would do around 300 (400 at most) instead of the massive amounts they do. What I really enjoy doing right now is ending blockstrings short and make them whiff SRK/Super/Ultra. I just love watching them whiff their mashed SP moves.

really? That's guy's retarded. I think an Ultra should take 25% of your lifebar at most. Even Gief's. But I agree with you about the blockstrings. It's so funny, especially against shotos!
