He's spamming his uppercut or fireballs? If he's spamming his fireballs just play the fireball war and when you get the meter use an ex sonic boom to get some damage in. Once you get enough of a lead just neutral jump over his fireballs and Focus some if you're comfortable enough to do that. He'll have to come to you at some point. If he's just spamming his uppercut or tigerknee just block and when he lands you have a free grab, or flash kick.
Sorry, I meant fireball. Thanks for the tips, but with some lag it's quite hard to play some fireball war using guile, the guy never stops spamming fireballs, it's his strategy, fireball forever, if I jump, high kick.
In lag it's hard, but just jumping his fireballs is probably your best strategy. If you can keep jumping them with consistency he's going to have to come to you sooner or later or take a draw.
What I usually do is jump towards them and when close enough (but far away enough from a uppercut/roundhouse), jump straight up to bait them. You better punish them hard since they really won't fall for the same trick more than 3 times in which he will realize that spamming fireballs won't be enough and make them think of another strategy.
i just played a couple of friendly matches and boy was that lag a real pain in a$$. the first match was against ken and beat the crap out of me, and i was using bison. i mean it wouldnt be fair to blame it on the lag only but damm this lag really messed up my game my inputs where so laggy i couldnt retaliate properly, i even thought about ragequitting lol! but decided to take the hits then in the second match i chose guile and fought against abel annd again beat the beatles out of me , i was already fustrated about this lag. then the final i had was against zangief i was using bison again .the first round was alright he was beating the crap out of me again but i managed to overcome the lag at the end and i won the first round but i was already frustrated enough to keep on with this and then decided to RQ on zangief. sorry dude. So it might be a dumb question but why or what does makes the online play lag at time?? my internet conections or the servers?
I also have problems with the lags like tons of people and i dont have problems with eg cod zombies. I have a really good internet connection so i think it are the servers i hope the very soon update will fix this.
Sometimes I get so lagged that I can't perform any simple combo, this drives me crazy. I don't mind losing for an expert guy, but lose by lag is unacceptable.
But the update? Capcom is pitiful, there Are evil Ryu and Fei long ready and we have to wAit 2 months!
I win probably 5 out of every 6 matches, yet my record says I lose more than I win (about half, though). F***ing rage quitters are really starting to piss me off. Now, when I see somebody with way more wins than losses, I'll quit the match if they aren't good. If their abilities don't live up to their record, they'll quit the match when they lose. Always. I figure it's better to quit on them after I win round 1 and save myself the time. That's usually followed by a friend request calling them a bitch-quitter, etc, etc.
I find that I typically have lag when I play people with Chinese names (Chinese letters that is), so I always assumed that the further away the opponent, the more the lag.
Would it really be so hard for Capcom to show records AND ranked drops while the match is loading at the beginning, preferably for a longer period of time? At least this way I could see the ranked drops up front and know what I'm in store for.
Do Gamecenter invites even work? I tried playing fruit ninja with some friends and it has yet to successfully let us play a match. Street Fighter as well.
The only server involved in all your matches are Game Center's servers, hosted by Apple. When you request a match, Game Center will do the matching for you. After that, both your devices are connected to each other using UDP. Therefore, the further your opponents are, the more lag it will be.
They were friends, so they were right next to me. I received the invite correctly and accepted, but it would just leave us on the "Waiting for player" thing forever, and on his end it didn't realize I accepted the invite.
Maybe its weird to ask but i just wonder toward what kind of people im playing, very young 9-14,older like 20-30, So What are your ages? (im 15)
