  1. Well how about wake-up psycho crushers ? Teleporting is the best escape , why would that only work once in a while ?

You can do a wake up Knee Press Nightmare etc as well. But usually the more effective way is: You Start Jumping Also! Bison has a good range on his airborne kicks, and if there's a trade, I believe Bison should have more damage then the opponent. I usually have no troubles knocking someone out of the air with Bison... Try to get the timing right but mix up a bit with teleports TOWARDS/AWAY from them, and pyscho crashers/knee press nightmare etc.

Teleporting only works once in a while because if you teleport away, you're still in range for their projectile and after the block/hit, they will start raging me with jumps. Teleporting towards doesn't send me far away enough either so their crouch kick is in range normally. Most of the ones that love jumping over me like that are Ken, Ryu, and Akuma btw.

I'll give the jumping along a try and see how that works out. Kinda hate the little lag we always have playing on wifi which delays the inputs.

Edit: Ok, so hitting the standing roundhouse 2-3 when they're jumping in scares them enough to not want to do it anymore and they seem helpless after that hahaha. Thx for the help guys.

  5. Nice, I remembered his evo2k10 matches against rufus and the one against a chun li where he managed to land ultra 2 on a wakeup spinning bird kick ! Epic gief he is .

The only downside to this game is it seems once you hit 1000+ BP you'll never get another win again. Oh and how the controls make it easy to die to Shoto's using SP just to spam fireballs and uppercuts. Real SF i don't mind, but they're only pressing a button in this.

Got to 1500 without ragequitting once. Got the achievement and then swore off ranked for the time being. It's simply not fun.

On the bright side, I fought some 2500+ ranked Ken and clobbered him with Zangief. It's not too terribly hard to to beat spammers, but only if you have good latency. With even a little lag it becomes an invincible lag shield where keepaway + projectiles is the high hand.

I think I've played like 15-20 rank matches today and my record hasn't changed yet. I keep going against the same people who quit out on me and if they manage to win one I'm only going to give them the same courtesy.

    Makoto.

It doesn't get better than beating ragequitters with Makoto.

Except, of course, eliminating the ragequit exploit.

But if you're playing 'real' SFIV they'd only be doing a QCF and pressing a button. Unless you're a rank beginner it's no more difficult to keep up a constant stream of fireballs on the arcade machine than it is on the iPhone...

That was my plan. Still yo-yoing around 1,000 BP, though.

Maybe that's my problem on Ranked - even if it's obvious* someone will quit if I win, I don't do it if I lose. Hey-ho.

*'Cause, a lot of the time, you know as soon as the BP & win-loss info comes up...

annoyed - after about 20 attempts, I still haven't managed to play a non-lag online match
on another note, I've had a really interesting time with Balrog - his chippy but heavy punches, especially for example one isolated jump punch, can do a lot of damage.
An example of this - I was playing dhalsim on gruelling, and I had about 50% health and him 100 (I know, shocking) - and I even failed my ultra completely, but just by doing combos no longer than three hits, and using his power, and jumping around a lot, I won

It was a seriously good round

It's not as easy as you think to always get the input, there is still room for error. They're not just standing there in the arcade machine pressing 1 button for every move. Also no lag in an arcade machine, or same console.

Nice one you have there, my friend. You quit on me twice!
Oh, here's some screenshots for your keeping.

I faced a sim that was 28-1 and he was pretty good, but ended up losing. I was surprised he didn't quit and took the loss. It's funny how we all expect now that everyone should be RQing on us with high WinLoss/BP (only because it's true).

He must be getting lots of pop-up notifications right?................................:D

It's 19 right now too. =) I never said I didn't disconnect anymore, why should I take a loss when no one will let me have my wins? Now I just play ranked to fight, I never expect to actually have the game finish.
