Thank you TenOnez for the sweet set of games. It got sloppy at the end but for the most part, very entertaining matchups and close fights.
Le sigh... I'm so salty right now. First I'm getting outclassed by scrubs, then Jibba comes in and whoops my butt. Dhalsims have evolved against Yun, it seems. Good games, Jibba.
Awesome games Felix. Didn't think they were for KoH since we just ran into each other randomly. Anyway, your Yun is a ton of fun to play and is the best I've seen in ages (possibly ever). All 3 Yun/Sim matches were extremely close and I really thought I was done in 1 or 2 of them. I don't know Yun at all so I can't offer much, but I did notice one thing in our matches. At the beginning of the 1st match, I think you hit me in the air and then juggled me twice into the corner. I noticed that you never did that again for the rest of our matches. I honestly don't know the difficulty level of pulling that off, so I was wondering if it was something that only works in very specific situations? You hit me in the air a few more times during the matches and didn't attempt a similar juggle. You're definitely a classy player though. That showed in the last match where you were beating my Honda around pretty well with Guile. You had a very big life lead in the 2nd round and knocked me dizzy with barely any life left. You went for a kick instead of a throw (or other move) which prolonged the match, even though it was ranked. I appreciated that, even knowing my Honda didn't have a chance. Some guy the other day hit me with an ultra when I was dizzy with a sliver of life left and it annoyed me. I fortunately whooped him in the rematch.
You're thinking of something else. It goes something like this... Raigeki Shuu - Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Tetsuzanko - Genei Jin - Zesshou Hohou - Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - keep on repeating. Once Genei Jin has run out, you can continue with Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Nishokyaku if your last thingy was a Zesshou Hohou.
how would you know? i hear you RQ when he's only 13 moves into the combo JOKING .. !!! omg i'm so dead next time i run into ivwshane online ..
If Yun lands a slightly meaty Kobokushi in the corner, you're probably going to be on your way to a stun. It's pretty infuriating, I expect.
Ugh. Scrubby Bisons! Kick, kick, kick, kick, kick. It basically beats everything Dhalsim can do except Super. The reach is crazy. Do I basically just need to turtle more against this style? Do FAs work? Any tips from Bison or Dhalsim players?
lol You have no idea how bad I want to rage quit (in fact I did once!) when he gets into his long ass combo! I like to play street fighter not Tekken! Take your long ass combos somewhere else!
I haven't any idea. There's the standing kicks with the huge hitbox and priority. There's the super quick 3-frame crouch kicks. There's the super high jump, with jump kicks having also a huge hitbox. The best I've come up with so far is to stay airborne and above bisons, but that's not really an option with dhalsim. Is there time to get airborne after he executes low-kick->scissors? How about staying in the air and using the air-to-air punch? How is dhalsim's knee against bison's jump kick?
Yun is so fun because his combos are long and he can actually produce damage with them. He's also pretty speedy. But he lacks all that stuff to compete with the best. It comes down to super mind games, lag, opponent's playing style, and your adaptability. I have horrible adaptability.
I haven't had much chance to try the knee against that crazy jump kick because I spend so much time running away from it. Maybe that's part of my problem. He's also demoralizing to fight because I can make every right move for 45 seconds, but when I slip up once he does crazy damage and puts me back on my heels. Typically I can get away after the scissor kick. Most Bisons don't follow a scissor kick with a standing kick, so I can't remember if that reaches, but I feel like his standing kick reaches everything. I hate it when he punches my fists, but not quite as much as when he kicks in the opposite direction and punches my fists as they go through his back.
Good games epik. I'll likely lose sleep over that dropped ultra at the end of the 3rd round in the 1st match. I must have accidently brushed across SP on my way up the screen and teleported away instead of using my ultra after blocking the SRK. Lag didn't help but I'm sure it bothered you equally. Your Ryu has gotten better. The ones that can hit that FADC into ultra in their sleep are always the scariest because they make me play differently. And as much as I don't like playing against Bisons, good job catching me with the FAs. After the 2 Ryu matches I didn't really expect it. Sorry to not stick around. It's midnight here and I'm beat.
Played against a Bison player where the entire match consisted of Bison Warp and his kick. Thats it...Very annoying and it kinda threw me off because I couldn't believe this guy was doing this the entire match. He even took a round from this. My advice is to just wait it out. Some Bisons like to kick twice then go for the slide so if you see that pattern the get that Focus Attack ready. Just be patient, try to bait his stomp and go for the throw. Use your yoga snipe if he is jumping towards you. And most importantly, don't lose your cool. Hope it helps Jibba!
Yeah good games man. I figured my best way to counter a dhalsim is to use ryu or bison. I don't know if you didn't notice, but on the invite I sent you, it said KOH Challenge.
Much appreciated. Do you mean yoga blast? I have so much trouble incorporating that move into my game because I drop it too often.
Loled pretty hard on these. I was thinking of Tekken too. You could try his knee or sliding knockdown kick. Flames also work. How come no one ever use dhalsims flame move? Don't you get frame advantage after block? Focus attacks work too. I know they're hard too. Life as a dhalsim sucks when your teleports have long recovery time in air.
