You know most people can't even download the game yet right? Not sure what the cards actually do, I think it's just for collection, similar to unlocking all the wallpapers in Dead Space. I agree. Capcom did a tremendous, superb job when first releasing SFIV for iPhone. It proves all the naysayers wrong. The clever ultra-cutscenes implementation, the controls, the assist mode really made it a great game. But it seems Capcom has put their focus elsewhere now, namely the 3DS. Check out what Capcom did with SSFIV on the 3DS and tell me they're not being lazy with Volt.
Downloaded and played a couple of online games as mentioned elsewhere it's a little laggy at the minute hopefully this can be improved but still great to have the online
You also have to remember the difference in price in the uk the 3DS game is £30 this is 59p so for that price this is an excellent SF game
I wish Capcom had made this universal, or an Hd app as well. There's a market for this on the spacious iPad.
This game is a huge improvement other the original just because of the online play, so far it's been rather solid and only lagged once where it paused for like 3 seconds then resumed. Love balrog in this version, you can do all of his moves though some vary a little bit, easy enough to get used too.
As you take damage it will fill up, you can use it above 50% by tapping it (and doing a charge direction if playing balrog or bison) to unleash a super move, fill it to 100% and it will do more damage. In the super console version each character has two ultras, U1 is green and U2 is purple, here however I think all are green?
As someone who spent a ton of time with SFIV on iPhone, this doesn't seem to changed much graphically, but it seems better optimised. Animations seems smoother and more consistent, almost like there's more frames of animations in the characters. This is on iPhone 4, btw. EDIT: Just noticed a bit of screen-shaking and blur on the Ultra animations as well. They've definitely done stuff to the game, but it seems like it's more for optimising the existing tech instead of redoing everything for retina/iPad displays. Still looks nice.
Anyone beat him without "continuing"? Or is it a difficulty thing? I highly doubt they're doing the # of wifi wins or w/e, if anyone remember what happened with DJ back in SFIV.
The game feels smoother to play but it can still be choppy in places, I personally had no problem with the original release or how that one animated.
Just beaten Akuma with no continues and didn't unlock him. Can't remember what difficulty I did it on >_>, so I'm going to do it again. Pretty sure I did it on Normal because it said results wouldn't be tracked if I did it on Beginner, but I can't be 100% sure. Gonna try it on Grueling... wish me luck.
