That's interesting. Guiles and Bisons give me trouble, but Rog is actually one of my go-to characters against Blanka and Cammy.
It is 586 damage for jk>CH>ST>Rolling Izuna Drop..while stunned its 669 Wish I could pull some shit like this off in ranked..
So, in Friendlies and playing a guy named "hopelessfromhell" right now. The guy has a wild Balrog. He's like I'm fighting myself, literally. He perfected me in one round and I perfected him in one round. If you come across his Rog, you're in for it. Currently 14/19 me winning so far. He picks other characters tho. His Rog is my fiercest match though. Annnnnd we brokeded the game with our Rogs. This guy has a really good Rog. Yeah, I won most of the set, but that was not easy at all, and he did pick other characters besides Rog so that where some of my wins came from. He plays.. pretty much how I do. His BP is in the low 2000s, but he plays like he should be hovering in at least the 3.5k range. No replays though, sorry guys. He accepted my friend request, so if I get him in another set, I'll save and upload some win or lose.
After playing numerous Rogs, I'm pretty comfortable except for TenOneZ. The one that gives me fits is guile. They just play turtle the whole time.
Fun Fact: If Yun finishes his Genei Jin combo with Zesshou Hohou (must be ground combo), he can continue the combo with TC1 or Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Special Move.
Yeah but so does blanka and you have no trouble with him. Hell, I'd think guile would be easier since you can back hand through fire balls right?
Actually that's a disvantage for Cammy IMO. Guile can use SB as a bait and sweep Cammy while she's doing that.
Could somebody who's jailbroken please put up a combo video with these Yun combos for me? I absolutely need the Yun scrubs to know their place. And for English's sake, I'll put the stuff in English. Dive Kick - Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Up Kicks Cr. LK x2 - St. LP - Sweep Palm Strike x2 - Lunge Punch/Ultra 1 (Reset)Flip Grab - Cl. St. MK - Dive Kick - Dash - Flip Grab - Cr. MP - Up Kicks (Corner)Ultra 1 - Shoulder - Super - Palm Strike - Overhead - and so on, until you're almost out of GJ time. Then do Cl. St. MK - J. P - Flip Grab - Cl. St. MK - Shoulder - Step Palm Flip Grab - Cr. MP - Shoulder - Super - Overhead - Up Kicks - Cr. HP - and so on. You can do a Cr. MP - Palm Strike if you get close enough to the corner, and have enough frames to do so. And then, would you mind demonstrating how Cr. LK x2 - TC 1 - Shoulder is a true blockstring by trying to Super/Shoryuken a dummy out of it? Thanks
I've played many, many Rog mirrors with him, he is a great player. It's usually back and forth between us, usually ending in a split set (probably slightly in his advantage) Also, if you dont mind giving some advice. How do you approach the Blanka, Bison and cammy matchups as Balrog. Not asking for a detailed writeup, just curious about what general strategy to use against them. Really? I have a nightmare of a time against Blanka, mostly getting caught by his short jump kicks. What approach do you take to this matchup that makes it easier?
Yeah. What he said. In fact, Cammy's worse matchup is Guile. If they know how to antiair or air throw well, there is not much Cammy can do. Guile will sit there an throw SBs and you are kinda stuck. If Blanka had a projectile, he'd do much better against Cammy.
To Felix and other Yun user~ I have two reset combo for Yun. In corner : Focus attack > Palm > cr Heavy Punch > Zenpou Tenshin > cr heavy Punch > Zenpou Tenshin > medium kick > Tetsuzanko > Dakai - This is a 1000 stun combo set up. - For Akuma - after first Zenpou Tenshin follow with medium kick > Tetsuzanko > Dakai. He will get stun. Another one is a mid range set up~ cannot be too near corner as it require position switch. Focus attack > medium kick > Raigeki > dash forward to switch position > Zenpou Tenshin > cr heavy Punch > Zenpou Tenshin > medium kick > Tetsuzanko > Dakai. 874 Stun. The idea is mix and match after the Zenpou Tenshin.
