Very nice!! Ive actually played Alot of Akumas since i last came here and eventually these things have come naturally through experience, though there were some really good tips i never thought of or just didnt think were possible for example, i had no idea akumas teleport was invincible, ive been so frustrated as i thought it was invincible and id just sigh as my opponent travels to the other side of the screen after i worked so hard to get close to him. Couple of questions though, for chicken to beat raging demon do i need to land all 3 hits or can i whif thr first 1 or 2 and hit with the 3rd? Also how close do i need to be to punish his teleport with rekkas? And lastly does anyone know any good mixups for fei long? I think this is my biggest issue since i know none. And everybody I play has some nasty mixups that get me wrecked. People have suggested I do more safe jumps and option selects, I assume safe jumping is just jumping so that when you land your your safe from any wake option your opponent might do and you can punish accordingly, but every tome i try doing it it get a shoryuken to the nuts. And i dont even know what option selects are -_- /end rant Also yes the reason I was asking hiw Bison worked is because specifically got bodied by that squall player 10-0 in 2 sets today! Im currently 30-0 against that guy lol
Turn on "recovery = ON" in dummy settings in training. low kick > crusher, FADC-hop-back, and crusher again. When the crusher connects with the recovering opponent, it actually knocks him the -other- way, so he would have needed to be blocking "towards" you. Sneaky stuff.
that Squall player is one of the best players on Volt. TenOnez is the other best player (and perhaps even better ). They usually go 10-0 on their matches
I didn't save a replay of it, sorry. I'll try to next time. Lol, I wanted to, but I took the challenge of Yun vs. Yun. If he didn't change his character, I wouldn't either.
Squall2002's Sagat, TenOnez's Balrog, PSXSquall/fffan777's M.Bison, Snooper's Cammy, YYOJJO's Viper, Cyrus418's Gief .. I'm sure there are plenty more in the upper echelons that we've come across. I'm sure there are lots I've missed, so no offense to anyone .. but those are the ones I hear about most often ..
NYC Chinatown Ryu. SLRC91 Guile. Ken Ken's Sim. Nashberry's Makoto, -40 Blanka to round out the greats
It does defeat the purpose, but even with auto block on, I still hold back with non-charge characters.
How so? He's really good, but Yun (or at least, mine) is very tough for him. :/ Gotta fight him again, soon.
Now that you mention it, don't charge characters work really poorly with autoblock? As I understand, for autoblock to kick in , you need to have your controller neutral/untouched ..
He's not as great as them, I can barely even come close to beating the others. Kenken pulled him modem on me, too.
Just had some good fights with Jibba and KenKen, two tough Sim together, really need a break after these games.
He told me he home buttoned in message, after I scolded him, idk why haha. but his ranked drop rate is 0. So it has to be connection loss. His record is 16-0 too, so he might me going for that 400-0 lol. Idc, but he doesn't belong with NYC, slrc, or nash
