I kept on getting knocked down by him. He outplayed me in every way. Sure, I'm not at my best at the moment, but I'm sure that he'd take me down at medium, anyway.
Lol, maybe something came up and he didn't want to quit? but yeah, I have that a couple times in ranked where i just let them win if something needs my immediate attention
yea -- i've done that too. if i really wanted to be arrogant, i would either: 1) try and focus every attack 2) jump around non-stop and see if they can hit me 3) only use low-jab 4) only use throws .. hmm .. some of those sound like u
Yeah, I've done that too. There have been been a couple times where I'm fighting somebody painfully annoying (a Sim who refuses to fight, an Akuma who won't stop running and spamming, etc.) and I'll just put my phone down and go to the bathroom or something rather than sit through it. He only stopped for round 2, though. He fought all the way through 1 and began immediately when 3 started. He also had the arrogant "I'm Guile and I'm gonna just walk up to you and attack... because I'm Guile" attitude. Add in the 6.5/1 win/lose ratio and I think he was just being arrogant.
Damnit, I suck horse bawlz now. Good games, Voloster. I lol'd when my super came out after you ultra'd with E Hona lol.
Haha, I have just dashed around back and forth for an entire round before...funnier when the other guy starts doing it too and try for a random hit here and there.
I didn't recognize the name, I'm glad it was someone from here. I started going random after like three matches to change it up. Those were some fun matches we had even though my internet has been real slow tonight for some reason, sorry for the random lag spikes they seemed to come at the worst times for both of us. I couldn't believe your super beat out Honda's ultra that was nuts!
About the suspicious nerf in Guile's Ultra, I tried to do that in the other port of SF and works the same way, like in Volt. Anyway, I made some test with every character against Flash Explosion and found the moves that can counter (or at least trading) the ultra. Even there's some moves that are useful for escape (no damage).
Still dont understand this nerf. Do you mean on block from a few steps away after the first FK they can counter, or up close too...or not on block? Definitely know about the first one, huge gap inbetween FKs..
Sup, anyone have any general tips to get better at this game? Im constantly losing to a broken character called Akuma and that fraud Sagat. I main Fei Long and even though I'd say Im solid with i still lose to characters with fireballs. This is my first time playing any version of street fighter4. I can honestly say I like this game, but man hiw things would be so much easier if i could use a real controller lol P.S.- A godlike Bison player that had this sites url in his tag led me here beat me 10-0/Free.
Welcome to the clubhouse. We've got a few very good Fei players here (iVoloster, 0-Felix-0, and others). They can probably share a lot of tips regarding Sagat and Akuma. Akuma can't take a lot of damage. I find that most "keepaway" Akuma players will keep jumping back and fireballing .. and then when they're pushed to the edge, they'll teleport the OTHER way and repeat. So a good way is to slowly push them back towards one of the sides, and don't get TOO close, but close enough that they'll teleport a bit too early and you're ready to catch them as they try and teleport with your Rekkas. Sagat .. um .. yea. Sagat. *sigh* Fei's EX-chicken wing kick will get you over most fireballs, and you can also focus-absorb fireballs and either dash-forward or dash-back afterwards. Those are two options for dealing w fireballs. I know some ppl here feel otherwise, but consider turning on your SP-Assist. It makes the game more strategic and on spacing and mind-games, and less about missed/wrong controller inputs.
I don't main Fei, but I can give some tips. It's tough, but you can Flame Kick over Akuma's Fireballs so you can gain meter for EX Chicken Wing Also, remember to Ultra if you hit your opponent the right way with your EX/Chicken Wing. They need to be high enough, and you can get a good amount of damage, too. Depending on the opponent, his overhead can have him go OVER the opponent while they're crouching. Fei is a pretty straightforward character... it's much easier for me to give tips on Yun than Fei.
Sagat is overpowered. If you care about rank and BP, Sagat is your best bet. Not too many Feis in the higher ranks as he is great against some characters but has issues against others (like Sagat).
Yeah, no leaders and not enough people contributing (especially for the amount of people we had). No big deal really, I'm sure over time all the active TA members will come over as well.
