What do you mean by "tech?" I see these terms thrown around alot and feel ridiculous asking sometimes. It took me awhile, but I finally figured out what people mean by SRK. Haha. I basically play anyone from the original SFII, although my main characters are Guile, Honda, Dhalsim and Ryu/Ken/Sagat. I need to start practicing again with Blanka, Balrog, Zangief, Vega and Bison, but there's only so much time I have to put into the game. That said, I'm hooked again like I was when I was 14 years old.
Yeah way too many clones. How many fireball characters do we need? Ryu, Ken, Sagat, Akuma, and now Sakura and E Ryu? It's like their focus group is 99% fireball character players and they're completely ignoring all the other characters out there. Gen, Yun/Yang, Rufus, Dudley (like him much better than that burglar Balrog), Rose, Izuki, the list goes on. At least give Gouken instead of E Ryu ffs. E Ryu is like a reskin of Ryu with half of Ryu's moveset and half of Akuma's moveset, wow what an original character. His appearance on SSFIV AE is a complete waste of space already. Oh and I was wondering if anyone knows what this article is talking about? What 3D camera? Isn't SF4Volt camera exactly the same as SF4 vanilla?
There's two kind of "Tech"ing. The first is when you go to throw an opponent, and he/she also does the throw command it will say "Technical!" and it'll push you both apart, cancelling the throw (THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH COMMAND THROWS! A Command throw is, for example, Zangiefs Spinning Pile Driver. It only works for Throws (Press toward the opponent and press P. (NOTE: Air Throws ALSO cannot be teched, (airthrows = Guile/Vega/Chun Li, press toward the opponent + P when you're both in the air)). The second kind is when you are knocked down, press P or Up, or Up and P to get up quicker. This is good and bad as noted by my Akuma Raging Demon Example. You can also try to Reversal. Reversal moves are when you are knocked down, instead of just getting up, you perform a move on "Wake up" (the moment you get up from being knocked down). Typically these are Dragon Punch moves (Ryu/Ken/Sagat/Akuma Shoryuken, Cammy has her Cannon Spike, etc.) The terminology is actually quite confusing for someone who doesn't really follow fighting games. Like Kara-Throw (Ken is a famous example of this) ,etc. So don't be afraid to ask if something doesn't make sense. EDIT: Those "3D flourishes" are more than likely referring to the Ultra moves where the camera shifts to a pseudo-3D move.
I think the intuitive 3D camera flourishes the article is talking about is the animation you see before the ultra is in action. I'm pretty sure that's it. Other than that, the other 3D instance would be before you fight Akuma, there's that cutscene that he jumps in to the stage.
so easy get Akuma video!! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel 1. you have street fighter 4 & street fighter 4 volt 2. you moving ryu-> abel -> guile -> cammy -> ryu on select screen 3. Get Akuma!! 4. So easy~~
SF4 Volt is having too much quitter now, everyday i play at least have 20 or more quitter. i also come across BP hacker as well, wat a bummer, im using Honda
Ya but he's cute, and beating your opponent with him has double dose of satisfaction. Think Puzzle Fighter 2 where his counter gems are all RED...
Sagat's *one* combo? Let me guess... Tiger Upper Cut > FC Dash > Fwd Roundhouse Kick > Tiiiiger...... Destruction! Grueling Bison insubstantial hidden move: Press SP, P, K and FC together (if you can manage to do that, ya....)
Sakura (boo) Makoto (yay!) evil ryu (dear god, incoming flavor of the month for everyone to use against me ) are all fine and dandy, capcom... but when will you fix the ragequit exploit?
ok, maybe i`m stupid, but how do i get the focus attack sage achievement? it`s the only one i have left! i must have done about 1000 focus attacks, or am i doing it wrong, i don`t know, thx for the help and sry for the stupid question Edit: nevermind, got it
Why does everyone say Dan sucks? The truth is Dan USED to suck back in Alpha when he was put in as a primarily Joke character. IN SSF4/AE, he's a pretty solid character. Also, I won't play grueling because of how it's done. Increasing the AI's effectiveness is one thing, but increasing their damage and lowering yours is just too much to be fun. I have fun playing on Hard, but on Grueling it just becomes so boring and frustrating that it's not worth it.
I played it just to get the achievement. Beat it (albeit using the quit method) in about 32 minutes with Guile. I surprisingly had a lot more trouble with Bison than I did with Akuma, who took only two tries to beat on grueling.
You have to select the character so you can pick their costume, then tap the back arrow on the top left for each one.
In Balrog's ending in SF4 vanilla for console/PC, he's seen robbing and vandalizing the SIN headquarters or whatever after he defeats Seth, looking for cash. That's where I got that idea from. Not one of the characters I'll use. Of course I might be wrong and he wasn't robbing anyone, but the cutscene certainly looked like it. I'm not familiar with Balrog's background story.
You have to: select Ryu, return, then select Abel, return, then select Guile, return, then select Cammy, return, then select Ryu again. And by selecting I mean, until the color selection screen and stay 1 second there before returning.
