Yes, when I met him his bp is close to 3000, solid player

Yes, I posted the content on previous page. Nothing useful, more like a received confirmation.

GG ken|ken, as always tough fight aganist your Sim.

I feel I had the advantage of being using sim as my secondary character. I just know his weakness too well.

I had my doubts but now I see that Guile's ultra was nerfed. I'm not sure if that was necessary.

Anyway, I'll be here for KoH challenges. Just send me a request or a reply here.

How is it nerfed? For damage?

    slrc_91 v Harlequin Rogue (1-2) (Guile v Guile)
    slrc_91 v Harlequin Rogue (2-1) (Guile v Claw)
    slrc_91 v Harlequin Rogue (2-0) (Guile v DJ)

slrc_91 wins 2-1 and retains the crown

I thought I had a good chance after somehow winning the first guile mirror...

Nope, now, at least in theory, any character is able to counter after the first flash kick. This wasn't possible with some characters, like Guile.

After the first match I was like "I'm screwed". And in the second I was thinking the same LOL.

I felt lucky in some moments. Good games, pal :)

Well I avoided playing Guile again and I wanted to see how you play the claw matchup. Personally I'm very comfortable on both sides of Guile v Claw. (Guile's jumping P is better than trying to flash kick imo)

Playing Dee Jay just serves to remind me he is a bad Guile.

Though, I'm (secretly) pleased about getting you with every single crossover. You hear that people? SLRC_91 IS WEAK AGAINST CROSSOVERS GET HIM GOOD.

Oh, also, loving that I got you with the neutral jump a few times. (Those moves are my standard guile repetoire in lieu of turtling most guiles do)

    Hahaha, spy work!

Yeah, I kinda suck dealing with those, due to the Guile's nature (Holding charge), the lack of practice and the fact that I don't use auto block.

To be honest that's something that I didn't expect. I tried to catch you with the normal punch, but the timing was awful.

Yeah, that's the general weakness I find. Good ryu players can block most things, but characters that obsessively turtle (cough akuma) or try to cheese you generally can't block (Sagats).

I've seen some really good Guiles that can block everything, but I'm with you - I'm pretty hopeless at blocking crossovers. You noticed I fall for sonic boom into sweep alot and that's also a nice frame trap I use to beat alot of people.

Good to see that a Guile player is improving some new stuff. Makes fresh the game.

The normal punch is a good anti-air, but yeah, hard to time and not maintaining down charge is annoying.

btw, Neutral jump at the peak goes over Flash Kick :p

Good to see other guiles AA with Guile High Kick though.

I just fought a Guile with a record around 130 wins 20 losses.

He wins round 1 then in the most arrogant move I've EVER seen in this game, he stands still for round 2 and lets me win. Round 3 he comes back... and loses.

He wanted a rematch, but I thought I'd leave and let him dwell on his failure.

BTW, if you're a Guile fighting a competent Akuma, do not sonic boom and walk backwards if Akuma is in range for turn-jump throw (WTF is that called:confused:). You're going to eat it every time.

I've managed to get my account running properly after resetting. It's kind of extreme though so I don't think it's a practical solution.

Shortly after my previous post, I restored my device (for unrelated reasons) and after jumping back into SF4Volt and battle network, it had me go through the initial setup guide (where it tells you what battle network is and asks you to create or join a team, etc...) even though I was signed into the same GC account. And now my stats are at all zeros.

One thing I should mention: I setup as a new device as opposed to restoring from a backup, so this probably assured that no previous files were carried over.

It's probably not worth doing, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

    Ah, Demon Flip into grab.

I've probably been guilty of walking back after sonic boom vs akuma. Fortunately, not many good akuma players exist
