I was finding this out the hard way while using my Zangief against your guile. Good games. That Ken vs. Sagat match had me almost gnawing off my own arm. I was so sure that the kick combo'd into the dragonpunch. I wanted to ragequit life itself.
Nah but you owned my guile inside out I don't think normal kicks combo , if I remember correctly from original sf4iphone it was a cross up tatsu combo into ultra . However that just sucks lol because there's no hit confirm so if your tatsu whiffs you're wide open for punishment .
Gonna practice a ton more on Balrog. I really want to get better. : ( EDIT: If anyone is up for some games with me at around 10pm or later (Munich time) or 9am-ish, friend Nullroar on Gamecenter. : D
I feel like a SUPER noob now not knowing this after years of playing... I guess I only really played it casually but not too seriously to know that these strategies existed. I'm not sure where Ablar2 heard it from, but I don't see any update.
I don't seem to be able to pick up any online matches, which is strange. Anyone else having this problem?
Not yet! I just play friendly matches nowadays anyway. Be smart and don't spend your BP on ranked matches. Wait till they fix it! I had people ragequit on me while playing friendly matches, lol (using Zangief)
Ya, you get that a lot when you're using Zangief. Personally, I think Zangief is a very good character to make people Rage Quit coz normally they never expect to lose, haha. By the way, I am trying to "cheat" but I thinks I'm doing something wrong: In arcade mode, if I was to quit the game the moment I lose, does it still counts as a lost and as a result I will not get to fight Akuma? Or is there a specify "moment" when the lost is "counted" as a lost? E.g. before the announcer or screen says "You Lose"... Reason is I am trying to unlock the Defeat Akuma on Grueling achievement, but I find it next to impossible against Bison/Akuma...
Sorry I don't know, good luck though. I have 33 achievements so far haven't bothered to go further up....
I was able to quit, kill the game, and relaunch/continue. For me, I made sure to quit the moment it said "KO" on the screen (or before).
I'm not sure where Ablar2 heard it from, but I don't see any update.
From this thread actually A couple of members where mumbling about an update coming monday(yesterday) that was supposed to fix the ragequitting plague. I then decided to check on the web , but did not found anything concerning an update for Volt.
I think lost is only counted when the taunt screen, the one that appears with your opponent telling you some nonsense appears. What I usually did was to simply quit the moment I know the match is lost. Then double-click the Home button and kill SF IV Volt from there. When I launch the game again, I'll be asked to continue where I left off. I did this ritual (yes, ritual is the right word! ) while trying to get that achievement, which I got eventually. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=1812408&postcount=850
Will give this ritual a try. Expecting to see my time as 99:99.99... Haha... I hate this achievement, just wanna get it since I already got the rests...
Hi there, if anyone wants to play me you can add me on GC. IGN: Tokido MurderFace The 3 drops are from calls/text or battery running low.
My tag is "RageQuit=B*itch". During my last match I got a low battery warning right as I took the losing blow. I bow my head in shame
I got a text just as I was about to lose a rubber match to a player a few days ago and felt awful. I sent him a Gamecenter friend request apologizing in order to get it off my conscience.
Just added you on GC... and nice set of Achievements you have there. But what's with that fc.uk comment?
