That's definitely true, although I'm pretty sure it was inadvertant. I personally don't think we should necessarily have a TP/BP minimum but should focus more on active members/players (such as yourself). There are some on each team who don't post here anymore and don't seem to play SF4V much, if at all, anymore. I guess this is a little self-serving since I'm currently waiting for BN to start updating for me again after a re-install and I'm waiting for my TPs to start showing again (although I did contribute 550 TPs before I botched my BN). I'm also still working my way back up the BP ranks (although I never did quite make it to 3000 so I didn't like the idea of that minimum). Just my two cents.
I agree with you on BP. As for transferring, just keep in mind that TA already has a bunch of tourney wins and trophies. It would be a shame giving those up.
If the majority wants us to be one team and there's the hurdle of members not being able to rejoin TouchArcade, I'm pretty sure that aside from randoms that got kicked from AccentCore, everyone on TouchArcade is able to join AccentCore. So instead of people going AccentCore -> TouchArcade, everything makes sense if we go TouchArcade -> AccentCore. The only downfall would be: loss of earned trophies and less "officials" (current 2 leaders and 2 sub-leaders to 1 each).
It's not really a problem, but we have 2 teams competing against each other leaving PV's team to jump ahead of both. I don't think anyone's saying that TAAC isn't up to anyone's standards or that there can't be 2 teams. I just think that we're talking about a bunch of competitive people wanting to win. As for TA, we haven't been winning lately. We didn't win the last tourney and have lost a couple weekly tournies (not technically tournies) in a row IIRC. I think people are just throwing around ideas to build even more of a sense of community.
I have big problem with this but want to mention that there's also a matter of space. TA is much bigger, but that would change obviously if people started joining TAAC.
Agreed. Lets just keep the teams separate and what will be will be. BTW doc, AccentCore is my home since I have 2 accounts here
The single is punishable in a lag free world. Online, your reaction plus lag means u are eating it. Better off blocking single knee
As long as the most active members on TA join TAAC first to contribute lots of TP, space won't be an issue.
I edited the standards thing, cuz it sounded prickish. Sorry about that. I think part of it is that interest is starting to wane a bit. If either team is going to win, people just have to step it up and it really sucks for those of us who would be contributing except for Capcom's inability to fix these glitches. In a way, I feel like if either team wins, we all win. It's all TA regardless. I appreciate it man, you've done a lot of great work!
I leave less than an hour and now you are arguing about team standards and that stuff... Well, I'm not part of those teams but let me say a few things about the topic. I remember when Docta said that he created AC for those who couldn't join TA. As he said I don't think AC is a junior team or something like that. I feel it's more like a 'brother' team. I don't know if it's correct to kick people who don't contribute with TP or E. If I remember well there are a bunch of memers of your teams that have 'broken' stats (the system is not accepting their new stats). Better kick random players on Denjin Dojo there are a few of inactive players or people who don't interac with the rest. We don't kick that guys because they are friends before players. Team TA has won the two tournaments, and would be good for both teams if AC starts to be a direct competition. A health and friendly one. This would be better than helping each other to reach 1st and 2nd place. Let TA and AC walk their own ways. At the end all TA will win.
yeah, i'm 100% sure - sagat can be thrown after a blocked 2 hit tiger knee and some 1 hit knees, even if he is mashing uppercut i don't know if every character can punish with a combo, but he for sure can be thrown
So whats the deal with this king of the hill tourny? How can I get myself involved? slightly confused and too lazy to go reread past pages to try and figure out... haha
I don't feel like my TP are uploading, am I doing something wrong? I play almost every day, but only have 196 TP.
I agree. but I also can't help being competitive. So when a new TA member joins TAAC, it makes me kind of just wish we were all one big team. I don't like competing against you or lots of members of TAAC and I certainly don't like losing to other teams. And if interest is indeed waning, then all the more reason to cut people lose that are no longer interested and have the rest of us team up. But either way, I'm in your boat and can't contribute so it's a null point anyway. And for the record, it's really not a big deal to me at all. I just like the community here and thought it would be cool to be one team.
With Dhalsim, I've often been left too far away from a 2-hit knee and my throw attempt has actually whiffed. I thought there was a huge discussion on this many pages ago. I'll try it again in training when I get the chance.
This is basically what I WOULD have said lol, and SLrc is right! But yes, this is 100% what I would like to see happen. Aaand, Slrc, if you ever decide to leave Denjin Dojo, y'know, we may be able to find a space for you on AccentCore! Just sayin'! ;-P
I wish we could have been all one big team too, but unfortunately that's not how Capcom decided to go about it. It's dumb that you have to grind for TPs just to get more spots open, really. But having two teams means we can have our own little games here on the forum. I, for one, would love to see a TA vs. TAAC ranbat style tourney! We could really have fun with this! But in the end, I agree. The only reason I still play SF4V is because I love the community here and it's awesome to be part of something that we've seen grow like it has here!
That's the same reason I still stick around. I remember a while ago, I used to check the threads that had the most replies and we were nowhere near being on the first page much less being the MOST ACTIVE thread on TA.
