This match up used to be a nightmare for me as Fei but now it's so easy, I usually just dash in right at the start and chase him to the corner and bait his teleport after a knockdown in the corner so that he teleports right into a standing punch rekka chain back into the corner. This will usually cause them to stop teleporting which will lead to corner pressure setups. IF he escapes you should have meter by then and just us EX Chicken wing when they throw one of there thousand fireballs and your back in. Also its important to know that chicken wing on Akumas wake up can knock him out raging demon, so many Akumas have rage quit on me after thinking they were going to put a stop to my corner pressure by ultraing my chicken wing.
haha speaking of run away akumas... I just fought one in ranked, only because I was bored I used Guile, saw his little comment thing and it said "bison=tinyd1ck" or something to that effect... He barely beat my guile (who I rarely use) and then i busted out the Bison and double perfect him =D I didnt catch the guys name, but if he comes here, my dick is feeling pretty large, I bet he feels small aha
Yeah, I ended up just going straight at him from the beginning of round 2 (after losing round 1) and doing almost exactly what you recommended. I didn't bait the teleports perfectly though so I had to go straight into rekkas, but it still did the trick. As for EX chicken wing, I have been working on Fei's basic strategies and actually don't have that move down to muscle memory yet, so I don't feel comfortable relying on it. I keep meaning to, because I so often see a perfect spot for it, but just haven't gotten it down yet. That's also great to know about raging demon. It changed my Dhalsim game so much when I learned that spear > raging demon. It constantly leaves Akumas just standing there wondering what the hell just happened. Fei is just so different from Sim and it's taking some getting used to, but between those two, Balrog and the occasional random, I'm having a hell of a lot of fun despite BN not updating for me. I've got to do some searching for some of your Fei replays. I started looking for replays to get the hang of basic strategy this morning but so far have only found Vaceotyn. I'll be downloading some of yours tonight though, as I always enjoy watching your Fei play. Thanks for the tips.
question on bisons standing punch and also crouching punch(not the forward one but the one that goes up) What are good times to use those? I only use them occasionally on accident and they work, but those are the only two tools I haven't thrown into the mix. Anyone seen any good use of them? I know it links into a psycho crusher but the punch is so slow usually I eat or trade damage
Apprunner, fun matches man. I was like I had enough of those grabs and let me grab you as well lol sorry I was about to do one match before I saw your name
I never felt my dick getting large when I face Akuma, but I did when I fight Cammy Sorry Apprunner...
I could be wrong, but I believe that the crouching punch punishes Dhalsim's air teleports. I'll have to double check.
@berserk_2nd Those were some really fun matches! I still suck at using Balrog...Appruner demolished me short before our games. Maybe I should just stick to Guile for having more success Greetings from Germany
sorry! Didn't know you were a TA member or I would have gone extra rounds with you Don't feel bad about the fight...i had a 16 game marathon with TenOnez (best Balrog EVER!!) yesterday so I had a lot of recent practice against him. BTW, he CRUSHED/DEMOLISHED/ABUSED me...i was 1 for 16!!!
really fun matches! For my loss I blame the smell in our company's washroom. Just kidding You have a very solid Guile and pretty strong Barlog(not as bad as u said), I actually thought u r PV's second account after those fights. I got lucky to win 1 set on your barlog today, no luck for your Guile, hope I can learn more from our games.
@Apprunner TenOnez is the reason I started using Balrog! I'm looking forward to more games with you but the next time I'll be using Guile for sure
Yeah, that standing kick is brutal. I've become so damn block happy against Bisons because it's all they do. And it's always 2 times in a row (I learned that the hard way). And I need to remember to never ground teleport against Bison after a jump in. It's such an easy setup for psycho crushers (which seems to do a ton of damage). Bison always gives me fits. I always feel like I play well against him but end up getting caught once or twice and Bison does some serious damage when he catches Sim. Any tips for that matchup?
