Silly ppl, Viper-Viper mirrors aren't a good way to practice and learn Viper at all !! In fact they're horrible because one good combo will take off half your health, and then it's wake-up city.

It's like you're playing Marvel vs Capcom with all the jumping around. :D

GGs berserk_2nd. I wanted more of that Sagat, but I had to step away for a while. Man, those were some tough matches . At least I managed to pick up a couple of wins in between all of the destruction. :p

Good games. I was watching my kids before bedtime so couldn't stick around. Would have liked to try out my Balrog or Guile against your Cammy but figured I'd do the quick 3 with Sim and see if I could take 1. All but the 2nd match were completely lag free. Nice to get that solid connection. Hope to play again soon.

Starting over sucks and is even worse with Battle Network not updating. In retrospect it was a bit rash. But I'm hoping that Capcom is aware of it for future updates.

genei jin combos are so unfair :(

connection wasn't as good as the other times we've played - there was just a touch of lag

Yea it does pretty good damage, but it gives you a really good setup afterwards if you combo into the sweep or reset with the divekick.

    Genei Jin? Unfair? Lolbrah,wutubeenreading?
In all seriousness, though, Yun can only manage around 500 damage unless he manages to set the combo up right. You know what I dream of? Genei Jin - Un-scaled Edition. My dream, your nightmare. Woohoo!

Dear all, training a bit with Fei Long. Uploaded a replay of him vs bot Bison, Fei Long's ultra if blocked, can be reversed before his last hit.

i find that meaty low fierce is my best setup, especially against character who don't have a SRK, or shotos w/o meter - people usually think I'm going to throw when i walk up like that

in one of those last games, i tried to do the uryo setup (otoshi 2x, huge fireball) - I had been avoiding it because I wasn't confident with the connection. And then I totally whiffed the otoshi. Oops.

You play Ryu very different than most people. I can't seem to get your timing down.

I've done it. *sniff* It was wonderful. Against players with less experience, following up with her overhead - sweep always hits. (I know that her overhead-sweep doesn't combo)

I do it a bunch, but the connection has to be great. The otoshi can be so fickle.

Jumping forward for the cross up k works great too, followed by low k, ex tatsu.

I've been chipped to death by his ultra a couple of times, and it was always on the last hit. I'm just gonna mash dp or something from now on. :D

On another note, just won 1 game out of 8 against TenOnez. :D
That might sound bad but it's my first win against him. Making progress!

Haha thanks, almost nobody throws or backdashes enough in volt, why not take advantage of it :D Im seriously considering maining ryu, hes so damn good.

Edit: I need to find out what ryus frame traps are. And I hate ryus backdash after playing cammy, so annoying not being able to get out of stuff like zangiefs wakeup mixups for free :p

One more Blanka and throwing my phone out the window. WTF:confused: It's like a bad joke.

It's getting so tedious I keep screwing up. I just lost to a 1000 BP Blanka. My BP is already way down from an epic losing streak (1700, I think). This is just making it more irritating.

I main ryu, and the only possible frame trap I have seen isnt even on Volt... I do however know that on Volt like AE, an EX Shoryu FADC -> jump p to metsu hado doesnt damage scale like the normal shoryu fadc -> metsu. Now I cant do it with touch on my iPad, but it works beautifully on ipod/phone and my icade

Ill take a look at ryus frame data, low jab-sweep might have a 2 frame gap or something. You can always just do low jab-tiny delay-low jab but that could be hard with lag i guess.

And ill try that out, i didnt even know you could do ex uppercut fadc-jump p.

Edit: So i managed to do the jump p but i cant get the ultra to connect afterwards. Are you supposed to fadc after one or two hits, does it only work on certain characters and do you do the jump p as soon as you can or later on in the jump?
