    Good games, man.

No, I wasn't trolling. I picked up Abel yesterday and figured I'd give him a whirl. I really like his fast dash - it's AWESOME. And I remember from my wake-up-at-night-in-a-clammy-sweat nightmares of Snooper's Abel that he can be a monster...I just don't really know the first thing about how to put the pressure on with him. :( I still play too much counter-esque and jump-in centric like my Blanka. Trying to work on it, though. Hopefully my Abel will be able to provide more of a challenge for you soon [unless they release Adon, then all bets are off].

    For HEIF_37.

    Balrog Challenges.

    1) Crouch while holding down back and hit P, then K, then quickly move the stick over to the right and hit P at the same time. He should be charged enough to do the dash punch after Crouching K.

    2) Same as the first, except you have a jumping P. While in the air, and after you've hit P, already try to have the stick in the bottom left corner before he hits the ground so he crouches, then do what you did in the 1st challenge.

    3) Just focus into a backdash after the f, then while holding back, quickly go to the bottom right corner with the stick and quickly tap SP instead of P and don't hold it down.

    4) Just hold P or K, let go, and while he's turning, already hold back to charge and on hit, tap the super bar.

    5) Charge by holding down and hit P, then on hit from the headbutt, have your stick in the bottom left corner so that he's already charging while he's coming down from the headbutt, then hit Ultra. After, "There's no escape!" hold down K so he hits Ryu in the air.

    6) Hold back to charge then do a dash straight motion, where you hold back then quickly go forward and tap P, but don't let P go, hold it so he does the Dash Swing Blow, then already have the stick in the bottom left on hit so he crouches after the hit, hit crouching K while leaving the stick in the bottom left corner so he's still charging during crouching K, then quickly press up and P to do a headbutt. You have to do this all quickly because Ryu can recover from the Dash Swing Blow if you don't connect crouching K while he's still in hitstun.

    7) Go back to charge, then go forward and down right and tap SP so he does the EX Dash Upper and, on hit, already have the stick in the bottom left so he immediately crouches, hit P and hit K while you have the stick in the bottom left, then after crouching K, immediately do a headbutt.

    8) Jumping P, then immediately have the stick in the bottom left corner so he crouches after Jumping P hits, then crouching P, crouching K, and do a headbutt and while he's doing the headbutt, quickly move the stick back to the bottom left corner and as soon as his feet touch the ground, tap ultra and hold K. This is a tricky combo because it's so strict after headbutt into ultra. It's not really hard to do, it's just really strict and I still mess this up at times. You have to be really quick as well. You can do it though.

By 8, you're just putting the earlier combo challenges together into one big combo.

Thank you for the very detailed explination.... that first challenge still has me though.

I got the first p and k, and then I either do the quick upercut, or the overhead down punch... never the straight......

Quickly tap P to do the straight. Overhead means you held P down too long and the uppercut means you hit K on accident somehow.

Can anyone explain the point of disconnecting in "Friendly Match"?

Beat a Ryu with my garbage Yun and he disconnected. Lolwut?

Nevermind then, you got it. Haha, nice.

Yep. Helps a lot in differentiating his moves and making them work in a 4 button layout. It's fun mixing them up on people.

I don't mind at all my good sir. He's a fun character. He can frustrating at times but he's fun overall.

Another edit: Good games Ken|Ken. I've gotta figure out how to punish that drill kick. It's a ruthless tool. I didn't see your name when we first fought but knew it was you from how your Dhalsim was playing.

Instant Drill Kick mixup = The Ken|Ken Special.

Absolutely hilarious! But he had the psychological advantage, so they still have to do their after-tourney matches. Like football tournament.

    Dear Biglou,

I know you're on TA, so I hope you read this.
Those were the most annoying fights I've ever fought.
    Ever.
    Ever.
Over five matches, I probably saw 5000 leg sweeps, 4000 focus attacks, 10,000,000 attempted shoryukens... and that's about it, really.

I'm going to to go bang my head on the wall for a few mintues.

    Srsly,
    NotYou

haha those are (imo) my weakest chars (that I play. I obviously don't play ryu). I main cody at arcade, but he's pretty different. Can't do standing fierce into crouching mp!

I did save the Cody v Cammy replay though. It was pretty sick
