but .. that's the same for most other characters too. Ryu, Ken, Guile, Balrog. Deejay is the only one whose anti-air is done with back+P. Maybe it's designed so that the harder-hitting move (i.e. HP/HK) are done with the down+forward direction. That way unless you intentionally hold DF, you would throw out a low-latency/low-recovery jab move if you're just casually holding down. Alternately, maybe it's designed so that if you mess up the SRK motion, at least you still get an anti-air-ish attack.
I find Sakura's anti-air punch to be REALLY REALLY good. Maybe I'm spacing my jump-ins poorly against the comp.
Yeah, but all those characters have other anti-air options. And her crouching light punch is useless, so why not have crunching fierce be the default crouching punch? If they make cr.k > cr. p > st. p a more viable combo, then I might change my mind, but right now, I wish I could hack the game and change the inputs.
It's hitbox is really good, but it's hard to use, especially against characters that have short jump arcs.
You guys and your anti-air discussions are making me want to spend an entire day doing nothing but knee attacks with Dhalsim. I am so weak with anti-air despite Dhalsim having a very good anti-air move. This is easily one of the top 3 areas that I need to improve my game.
Yeah, but for some reason it's just not natural to me yet so when I try to break it out I trade or get kicked in the face. I think I usually fail with it because an opponent, often a Ryu, is too close when he starts his jump so he's landing sort of on top of me. It is pretty awesome though if used right.
Did you see the top 30 list...Toucharcade is dominating Denjin Dojo does pretty good in the top 15 though.
Sometimes, I wish that they'd remove the light punch altogether. If she has Cr. LK, she can still tick throw, no problem. Just less damage. And sometimes, the punch moves given are just pointless. I'm looking at your crouching normals in this game, Ryu. But what Sakura needs the most, in my opinion, is more frames to combo after using the LK Shunpu.

Ya, agree with all this. She doesn't need a ton more, just a couple! Or better yet, let her cancel her tatsu into st. p! (This would probably be broken)
I don't think the team tournament is counting "good match" received. I've received a point for every ranked match so far. I've been checking complements received in my card, it only went up by 6 while the number for the tournament is 30.

I jut rage quit in the worst way. I won like three matches in a row then quit. I'm not proud of it, but he really pissed me off. My single biggest annoyance in Volt is playing an Akuma who runs away constantly. I main Akuma and those guys always manage to win against me because I get pissed and screw up. This guy had low bp and not much skill. He switched to Akuma on like the forth match and turned into "one of those". I have zero tolerance for cowardly players. I lose too much because someone purposefully bores me then hits me with an Ultra when they effectively get on my nerves. Again, I'm not proud of it. I won't deny it, though. I'm really fed up with the boredom strategy. He can cry about his win all he wants. I play this game to fight, not see who gets bored first. I'm tired of it.
Good games Finix. Your Vega is awesome! Such amazing use of cosmic heel, and the air grabs and focus attacks to beat my burning kicks. That combo into super against Balrog in the corner was also amazing.
