GG Squall. Sorry I had to go after only one. I'm sick as a dog and that was my first attempt at playing all day. One of these days I'll get one on your Sagat.

I never understood why he didn't get any kind of nerf. That damn jump kick into combo does so much damage, not to mention that obscene ultra.

I just fought a Sagat with around 3500bp. If they nerf Sagat so he isn't so ridiculous, this guy would be 1000bp, tops. Once people know how to use him, they can win all kinds of matches even with no real skill.

I've complained about this before, but it's especially bad for Akuma. If I screw up once, I could lose 2/3 of my health in a couple seconds. I can pound him relentlessly and still lose. He just needs to get a little lucky.

hitbox and priority for that jump kick is also a bit much. I get crushed by that trying to counter it with viper. only fully invincible frames have a chance of countering with that jump kick.

I think there are actually different levels of 2-hit blocked tiger knees. It depends on how close he is, but sometimes it's not as punishable (i think that in this scenario youre left too far away to throw, depending on the character). I could be wrong though.

There certainly are, if done from point blank range and blocked it will hit twice and is unsafe, also low kick-low tiger shot is unsafe on block as well. It's easy to Rekka punish them as Fei but better Sagats avoid throwing them without a hit confirm making that match a nightmare for Fei against anyone who semi knows Sagat.

I usually try to throw him. Seriously. The more throws I get in, the easier my match. eventually, they get freaked out enough and start throwing bad uppercuts and knees. Also, if they don't have meter, it's worth throwing riskier uppercuts. You have to play differently once they get their ultra as that will kill half your life.

I have a couple replays under Apprunner and KaChigga. Check them out for fun.

Edit: the master of the Cammy throw is a guy names MrJyo. Check out his replays. Him and Snooper are probably the two best Cammy's on Volt.

Good Sagats can be hard but to me they are the new akuma, everyone plays as him and I love beating him!

Just sharing my thots on Saggy. Most Saggies strategy are to use his fireballs when far, and when near, jumping towards you to kick and c.kick / tiger knee etc. Therefore there are 2 approaches - Long Range / Short Range combat let's call it...

    BUT!

Long Range should be too much of an issue if you're using Akuma as your fireballs are almost as fast and you have options in teleporting / flying over them. Same for Bison. You can repeatedly press back teleport and his fireballs will never hit you (useful if you're leading and Saggy just keep mashing SP button). It doesn't do anything but waste time, but it makes Saggy realise his fireball game is useless.

Short Range: His weakness is his physical movement speed are slow, and if you can manage to cross overs / teleport around (I main Bison), he can be out of his comfort zone of repeat knee/c.kicks. If you're using shotos, it's even easier as his main way of coming close to you is only jumping or tiger knee. If you are expecting it, you can uppercut him easily.

I think the trick is to get into a medium range which makes him feels uncomfortable.

Bison and akuma do pretty well against him, and with shotos theres no reason for him to jump because his zoning game is better. He still might sometimes but if youre playing ryu or ken then youre not going to out-fireball sagat, so youll be forced to approach him.

Excuses excuses, you just ragequit after I won that first round :D Maybe tomorrow then, lets have some abel matches. Im also really liking ken, so many people just block because they expect random uppercuts so I just throw all day :D
