okay, I will try to work on my speed.

I think I'm more suitable to charge characters.

Till today I still cant perform the Hadouken circular movement with ease and accuracy

Usually if they block my 2nd kick, I just teleport away if it doesn't connect. And if it does connect, go straight to SRK. It's too much of a risk to try anything because the timing is so tough with lag and everything.

One guy quits 19 times to get 26 wins, the other guy quits 14 times to get 18 wins... Capcom needs to fix this quitting shit.

I was trying to go about beating Akuma on Normal more as well. My very first game on Volt I went random, got Ken and beat all including Akuma, on Normal, without too much difficulty. Now I have no idea how that was the case - perhaps just the fact that I wasn't expecting him to be super hard helped lol :D.

Since then I managed to beat him on Normal with Sagat, but only using the quit out and relaunch trick multiple times, to end with like 25 mins completion time, interestingly pretty much the same as it took me to beat Bison on Hard with Sagat, pre-Volt!

Then I failed spectacularly with Ryu and that annoyed me.

And THEN, SSFIV: AE came out for PC and I've been playing that instead mainly! And now I really want Sakura in the iOS game, totally my new favourite character. Simple moves that get her through Easiest and most of Very Easy without much trouble. Even Medium not too bad until the rival match, where it ramps up quite insanely! Still, got an awful lot in in 7 hours playing yesterday ... oh boy!

Agreed. My advice is, email them at [email protected], either just to complain, or to suggest an alternative ;)

The more of us who do, the higher the chance they might listen.

SSF4: AE's AI in arcade mode is really messed up. All the fights in the beginning are a joke, then suddenly the difficulty of the rival match ramps up at least 2 times, then Seth is insanely hard, and if you make it to Evil Ryu they're like impossible on harder difficulties. The difficulty of rival/Seth/bonus round is like at least "hard" if you have your game set to "easiest" or "very easy". I couldn't beat Seth with any fireball characters at all, he blocks or jumps over all of them and has perfect timing with everything. I did beat him with most charge-style characters. And my new favourite character is Juri, insanely fast and easy-to-hit moves.

Yeah I had tried out normal SFIV at a friend's just a week ago and couldn't beat Seth with Sakura even on easiest - although that was without actually looking at her moves, to be fair ... Seth was crazy after I'd won the first round. Seems not quite so hard in AE, and at least it's less of a big deal with no characters to unlock. But yes, the match before rival on medium seems to be about my level, and the rival is just mad.

Haven't really tried Juri yet other than the basic move challenges ... have done at least 6 challenges for all characters, but they all blend in to each other! Quite liking Ibuki now but the half circle moves can be a pain to get response out of. And, Evil Ryu as bonus in the arcade? What are the conditions for that? I haven't seen him yet.

There will always be quitters whether it be on console or on portable devices.

So I played a little online last night- had a pretty intense fight against Luca wild's Akuma in a friendly match, then did a few ranked matches against mainly ryus, but a couple of deejays. Lost 6 in a row... :(
Still, it was exciting, and I don't ragequit.

Wow you're amazing! I would've quitted the 2nd time I lost (yes yes I know I don't have the steel strength of Ryu). In fact, if I get a bad beating I would just quit after the first defeat..

Btw, what's your username? Mind me adding you?

Guys, beware of ragequitter "cheekuan". Has 100+ wins and 90+ loses but still a ragequitter.

Solo is great. Online is officially awful in my book. I've had about ten matches this morning, mostly against different opponents. I've won 5 and lost 5. My record for the day is 0-5 due to ragequitters. I even had one guy that beat me the first match, then ragequit the second match. Oh well. I just chalk it up to people who need a video game record to make them feel better about their otherwise sh*tty lives.

By the way, how do you play people on your friends list in Gamecenter? Had a bunch of great matches against one guy and neither of us quit. He added me afterward saying we should do it again sometime. Would be nice to be able to play someone on a similar skill level that I know won't quit.

Hmm, do friendly games contribute to stats in any way?

  19. They give you sp and avatar wins, other than that there's nothing gained .
