Insane adel? Rolling in the deep haha. yeah abel is good on offense bad on defense, kind of like makoto. His forward punch doesnt break armour but reversals do, I dont remember breaking armor with change of direction but if I did it wouldve been because it was a reversal.

Of the four characters you're playing with success, three of them can be played very defensive/keepaway (Akuma, Guile and Balrog) and the other one is a keepaway character (Vega). So that style of play doesn't cater to Makoto, who is a thinker's rushdown character. You need to play with a very offensive style of play to win with her consistently. She's not someone you can just pick up and play.

First suggestion: try completing her challenges in Solo mode. I know you can't use SP assist but practicing the timing for those eight combos will help you build a foundation for Makoto's timing, so whether you do play Makoto with SP assist on or off, you'll have a sense of how to maximize the damage you get from your punishes/correct guesses.

Second suggestion: Get opponents to fear Makoto's throw move (tsurugi). Her command throw is the best answer for opponents looking to block their way through Makoto's rushdown game. If you crack a turtle, there's very little left for a turtle to do, and Makoto has all the tools needed to keep an opponent pinned as long as you can pick up how the opponent reacts to your rushdown game.

Third suggestion: Watch videos. Not tourney videos. I'm talking Volt replays. Start with Nashberry. He plays great under pressure. And if you ever need to fight anyone who doesn't SP assist or autoblock ever, I'm your man.

Just so you know, Tsurugi is the name of her axe kick, not the command grab.

Thanks. Yeah, if you're going to win with Makoto, you have to work her command throw (karakusa, not tsurugi) into your game. It freaks the people out.

hahahaha, I have my own "team" at the moment with a little cute fan who never plays a single friendly with me, don't know where he came from. He just joined my "team"(lol) without a greeting. so i call him - a fan.. :D

yeah, you are right. I shouldn't criticize a team's reputation by just pointing out an individual. it's kinda I am taking this too serious.

    I'm 100% sure!

well, as he responded that he has NEVER done so, then I'd take that as the occasional fault of the Capcom system and think twice next time when I encounter rockdi before being proceeded to the match start.

    Thanks for the message, mate.

Yes, he told me that after the 'You Win' message the screen got black and the rematch screen never appeared. Anyway you can see his drop rate, since it's updated after the drop.

I don't feel I can't trust in you, but I know him from before Volt, and I know he doesn't like rage quitters. Just both of you know what have been hapened between you.

Follow up Makoto's command grab mentioned by VanceVelez.

You can check out my new replay against -Bin Guile, how I plan for her command grab. :)

I second that~ and moreover this match is against Zangief, she do know how to handle Zangief~ so might be a different story and she vs other character.

that's what exactly happened to me and "you have been disconnected" showed like immediately. Normally I will wait for few seconds for the rematch screen.

it's all good, since you said he is the guy who doesn't like rage quitters.
    Thanks anyway. :D

Good games -40 (well the first two were), I don't know what happened but I couldn't get my super out when I needed it and I basically just let you jump in and combo my ass:(

I'm very disappointed in my play, after playing you I lost to a 1400bp scrub because of the same issues:( of course he quit after one match.

    ivwshane, GGs!!

it's been quite a long time since last time we matched!
breathless tension ever between the Blanka mirror made my hands sweeted, so I decided to stop after 5 sets. Very aggresive of your Blanka, and great timing to anti-air's killing me. GGs!

but i still hate Blanka mirror. lol

yeah, i could feel you are trying to Ultra at my jump kick, which is tough IMO due to the tight timing (cause Blanka's jump is so unique).
