They nerfed the priority of her uppercut, increased the pushback of low hard punch and quick spin knuckle-ultra doesnt work anymore unless youre close to then when you do it or in the corner. You were always able to do moves between safe spiral arrows and uppercuts, its just that now certain characters cr lks or lps will beat her uppercut. So if you do a max range spiral arrow and ryu/balrog/guile (possibly others too) mash cr lp or if blanka/fei mash cr lk then it will beat the uppercut, which never happened before. The move where she spins is almost totally useles. The only time I use it is after a stun i do quick spin knuckle-ultra as it does more damage than focus crumple-ultra, or to go through a random ryu super/ultra. I might also throw it out randomly against shotos, but very rarely as its risky. I actually dont like the shoto matchups for cammy as their pokes are all much better and it can be hard for cammy to get in, theyre not that bad though, ryu is 4-6, ken is 4.5-5.5, sagat is 4-6 and akuma is 5-5 imo (yeah i keep changing my mind )

I've seen you all say "command grab" too many times and I'm still not sure what it really is. Isn't it the normal throw? Can someone give me some examples? Thanks...
Theyre not really that significant. Im pretty sure they changed everyone to some degree, its just that some changes are less obvious than others. @hieu871, i discovered these myself.
grabs that are not a normal grab, i.e. SPD, honda's oichi throw, yun's and fei's flip-over grabs, abel's standing windmill toss.

Ok, so since I'm back in training mode, does anyone out there want to give me some advice on different strategies/techniques on a couple of Dhalsim matchups? In particular, I'm still having trouble with Cammy (obviously), Blanka, Viper and Bison. With Cammy, I think snooper suggested staying on the ground. I haven't followed through with that yet because I always feel more comfortable in the air with the ability to teleport away from uppercuts or behind arrows. But with the nerf to his teleport I often don't have enough time to punish even where I teleport perfectly. Also, I feel like I should be able to punish blocked uppercuts a bit more but she lands so far away that supers and ultras are kind of out of the question (in fact, his ultra is almost impossible to fit in because Cammy's ultra goes right through it). With Blanka and Bison, it just feels that I whale away at them but make one or two mistakes and eat a ton of damage. I think fffan recommended staying on the ground against Bison but again, it's tough to follow through with. I just feel that Dhalsim is more vulnerable on the ground, although this is partially related to his fast air teleport pre-update. With both Blanka and Bison they're both also so deceptively fast. With Viper, she's kind of like Cammy in that she's just so fast and has so many mix up options. I have tried to work in standing kick and focuses against flame kick happy Vipers but most are smart enough to mix up their moves and confuse me.

I play a really aggressive bison and I have a hard time with a evasive poke Sim'. IMO keep ur distance and use those long arms. Ground vs ground you are going to lose. I can swarm a ground dhalsim since u really don't have any wake up game. whatever u do stay out off the corner. Play keep away n stick to the air. U should be able to see Hstomps and Pcrushers.
Seriously, props to folks nike nashberry and any other Makoto players - she is by far the toughest to use properly. Major kudos. I just completed a few randoms where I ended up playing as her and I was flailing around like an idiot trying to do the inputs. She just sat there doing grabs. I'm like "COME ON! DASH-PUNCH THINGY!" ...she just did more grabs. It was pretty hard to watch. I made some 200bp players VERY happy. Also I'm pretty sure that Blanka vs any Fei who doesn't mouth breath is like 7-3 in Fei's favor, Snooper. The damage nerfs are really just icing on the cake - the lack of short ball makes Blanka's entire roll game punishable. Fei's DP is almost completely vertical, making it the best DP to counter Blanka's cross-up game. With no "safe" way to gain distance on Fei, and Fei's free chip on Blanka, it's really, REALLY hard. I was spending a lot of time playing against some japanese Fei's and I'm convinced it's one of Blanka's toughest matchups (if not THE toughest) along with Balrog. You need to do a ton of guessing for each. E. Honda is now doable for Blanka. It's probably 5-5 now. Really skill-based, as Honda's butt drop gets him out of Blanka cross-ups and Blanka's elec punishes butt-drop hard, and now both can punish each other's horizontal charge attacks. I was spending a lot of time playing against some japanese Fei's and I'm convinced it's one of Blanka's toughest matchups (if not THE toughest) along with Balrog. Akuma without vortex simply lacks a lot of his power. The inability of most players (me included) to link his combos (like standing hard kick + cforward punch + tatsu + srk) online doesn't help, since the links are so demanding.
Just uploaded a match vs. some scrub dee jay, but check it out for a moment early in round 2. Dee jay's machine gun upper has some interesting properties.
Is it just me or does Deejay have a great jumping punch? I played one a couple days ago who was just killing me with that move. Fortunately, he didn't have all that much else to offer so once I knew it was coming I could avoid it. I'll check out the video as I'm still trying figure out how the update ffected his machine gun upper. The standard version seems to do more damage than the EX version, although obviously the EX version links into other moves. It still doesn't make a ton of sense to me.
I do agreed she is one of the toughest character to use.. alot of bad match up.. She gotta play differently towards different character. Some moves will restrict to pull off. Gonna be patient if wanna use her~
I played a Ryu a few days ago who would hit me twice while jumping. I thought I imagined it at first, but he did it numerous times and that's definitely what happened. He would do it if we both met midair and would punch me two times before we landed. Can anybody explain that? I haven't seen that before or since then. He was also doing those weird forward jumps where he stays upright. I've only ever seen one other guy doing that before.
