I mostly agree with this. It feels like Yun and Honda are both a bit high. Knock Yun down a peg. I'm not sure about Honda.
@DROQQA, how about the setup uryo made famous. Ex tatsu-sakura otoshi (only 2 hits)-meaty fully charged fireball-high/low/throw. You get an insane frame advantage off the meaty fireball. You can actually do an ultra after the fireball to chip them out and theres nothing they can do (unless they used some move with invincibility before the fireball hits them, but if you see them do that then you can just punish with a raw ultra).
Yuns actually pretty insane. His fundamentals are bad but his divekick is so awesome for getting in and applying safe pressure after a knockdown, his bnb puts him in position for another safe divekick setup and pushes them to the corner, and his command grab can lead to 256 meterles damage, only 4 less than an spd, and yuns tick throw game is MUCH better than zangiefs. Hes also got heaps of other stuff going for him but this is like the 50th time ive talked about yuns strengths and weaknesses.
Then I must be playing Yun the wrong way... it feels like I'll never reach the higher areas with Yun. By the way, do you do Close Medium Kick, Tetsuzanko, Zesshou Hohou? Or do you do Close Medium Kick, Tetsuzanko, Dakai? Also, it feels like Tetsuzanko's meter gain was buffed. And sadly, EX Zenpou Tenshin's throw invulnerability got removed.
Whoa, that's pretty sweet. The only problem is that I have a huge problem connecting the otoshi online.
Dunno why you guys have problems with the Otoshi. I just can't make the Uryo special work in Volt. Le sigh...
And I can name at least 6 players (counting me) who had the unluck to see how you just ran away when you saw your bar going to 0. I can beat you (I've already done it before), but it is pointless, since with this update you can't stand a lose. And forget about friend requests. I don't wanna see you lying (again) in the forum. I might see you in a new tournament. Who knows?
I do cl medium kick-shoulder-lunge punch. It puts you closer to them so you can do a meaty divekick mixup. When I play yun i play cautious, building meter with palms and poking with his overhead and standing kick. Once a I get a knockdown I just do meaty divekicks-then throw or cr lk or whatever-ge has heaps of options. Random ex lunges are also awesome, if they block you get a mixup and free chip, if it hits free ultra. The problem with yun is he has some borderline unwinnable matchups. Zangief and bison are the worst imo, but vega and sagat are also extremely hard.
I would definitely move Ryu up there. I'd probably put him at the top actually. I don't know what they did to him, but he seems much harder to beat now. Maybe it's just me, though.
You can, just try it out in training. 2 hits of sakura otoshi and then charge a fireball as soon as you hit the ground.
Zangief is easier than Bison, in my opinion. Sagat isn't too hard, and Vega is up there with Bison. In my opinion, of course. I like to switch between rushdown and mildly cautious.
No offense, but I think its just you. They made him worse actually. What can he do that akuma or sagat cant do better? His low kick is probably the best in the game, but besides that akuma and sagat are just straight up better.
Yeah youre probably right. Sagat still beats yun though, even if its not as bad as those three. But Bison-Yun is straight up murder. You cant keep the pressure on because of all his escape options, his footsies are way better and he gets in for free because his devils reverse trades with upkicks in bisons favour.
I think I just have trouble because of the way people use him. Lots of turtles and sh|t like that. I actually have a much harder time with poor players than good ones.
Just beat an average Bison, and now I have 2012 BP. I'm not playing ranked for a while. And I agree with you, and thanks for the tip about the Devil Reverse.
