So many things to work out lol, it's not just a game anymore ;). TBH not really sure of all the options, but I would for quite a while at least likely stay offline - those controllers have far too many buttons to get used to to just jump in, and yeah I'll be just as prepared to die much as I was going in on iOS.

Good to know friendlies work for wandering warrior!

To be honest, there's no real "best" control method. Keyboard is great if you practise with it.

Lord knows I could never use the keyboard :p

It's a huge change from the iOS to the full fledge thing... But stick with it and it's really a blast.

Yeah I've always thought as much. I used to watch people pwning in SF3 on the arcades at uni back in '99/'00 and always found even that fun, plus the fact that it was not I that was spending the money :D. It may turn out that I am better off just watching this sort of game, but it has always had a certain appeal, and now PC version makes it much easier for a non-consoler.

Keyboard controls, really! I wondered if it would even be possible. I had an idea that they should make the iPhone a remote for the real thing, using the whole screen I'm sure they could do a decent job even of full controls, hmmm?

I imagine they keyboard would function exactly like this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGU1d-cmtuQ&feature=related

It's a fight stick.. Minus the stick. Just like a keyboard would be... I think. :p I just use a PAD... Eventually I'll get a fight stick.

But with everything in SF... Just practise and you will get better.

The biggest thing is with Volt, you really need only worry about the strategy of the match. With SP assist it's so much easier. On the big brother versions, you have to contend also with execution. You have to not only Know the combos, when to do them, but you have to practise in order to be able to really pull them off.

Yeah. I would prefer some sort of joystick thing that could be connected to my iPod. Don't they have a wireless one?

    There's the flings:
    http://www.macrumors.com/2011/06/03/fling-mini-joysticks-now-for-iphone-and-ipod-touch/

There's also bluetooth connectivity, so there are some games/apps out there (MAME, SNES) that allow for use of a wiimote or wiimote+classic controller.

There's also the iCade, which also uses bluetooth connectivity. http://www.appletell.com/technologytell/article/icade-ipad-controller-review/

In both of the latter instances, the games/apps need to implement the connectivity, so Capcom would need to code for it as a game option.

Pretty sure we managed better for Rolando 2 back in the good old days - think we had 50 pages or so before it was even released, and then they went and pulled a late release too!

Anyway this is how I like it :). Even if a lot of the discussion is about the bad stuff.

Really? Bison easily destorys hadoken spammers.

EX Head stomp will destory 'em. As will his scissor kicks, his EX Psycho crusher.

As for when you don't have meter, just do headstomp, but steer away so they throw an errant DP, then punish with a devil hand reverse. At that point you're so close you are free to combo away.

Not to mention his Godly Slide move!

Yeah.. Bison's real good against 'em!

I can't play online at all, it's weird every time someone tries to connect to me or me to them it starts loading then it says "you have been disconnected" it has only worked for me 3 times I've connected to 3 different people, but only 1% of time it works not even exaggerating so ether the game centre online system is crappy or Dubai internet service, and I play many online games from here and I have had no problems at all, order & chaos works perfectly from my iPod.

Actually as a Zangief player, I will not do that. There are a lot of ways I will approach an enemy, e.g.
    1) Green Hand
    2) Fwd - SP (dash fwd) + grab or kick leg or green hand or...
    3) Jump and kick / punch
    4) Jump and land + grab
    5) Kick your legs
    6) do nothing and block your attack > slam
    and countless others...

Basically its about anticipation on what your opponent is going to do, E.g. Trick him into blocking and you can grab. Similarly, u can trick him into thinking he can grab, and you jump away / attack etc.

In such cases, for example, you can use your long range attacks to knock him out first, sweep his leg, jump fwd/back, dash, etc.

Hopefully you completely crushed their will to play and destroyed their wireless router, resulting in a disconnect =)

    @Soulsearcher:
cancelling normal uses FADC as part of the technique.

For example, you want to cancel Ryu's shoryuken into ultra: perform the SRK motion- 623P, then just as it hits, you press focus and dash cancel (here Ryu will flash yellow and immediately go into the focus attack), and immediately after, you do the ultra motion- 236236P. If you didn't cancel the normal, you'd still be in mid-air, and wouldn't be able to link the SRK into the ultra. The focus-cancel requires two super meter bars.
