both the ZK and exZK? was it on a projectile, or as an anti-air? i used ZK earlier as an anti-air, and it seemed reasonably similar to before.
There's always focusing the jump attack. Requires some timing and a low-lag game, but if that's all they're doing, it's viable. Once they're down, you've got plenty of pressure options.
I hadn't noticed that but just confirmed it in training mode. What the hell was Capcom thinking with that? They do the exact same damage (didn't notice stun) but one has slightly shorter range. I'll have to keep that in mind to the extent that I continue to use Dhalsim. Thanks.
I suppose since standing P can be blocked high or low, but df P can only be blocked low, they felt that standing P was redundant, unless there was some drawback to using df P. I'm feeling the hurt too when I go random and pick up dhalsim. Damage nerfs and a lot of his hits are trading, when they used to have priority. His slide kick seems to have a bit more range compared to before?
Yeah, I guess you're right. That does kind of make sense. Dhalsim is definitely a low tier character with the new update. It's really a shame. I just enjoyed playing him and having a go-to character. Now I kind of just bounce without a main around 1000-1500 BP points below my previous norm. His nerfs don't make a ton of sense to me since he was never a high damage output character, but they're by no means make or break. Same with the trades, although I don't like that I am seeing a lot more trades with most characters. As for his slide, I've used it more since the nerf but hadn't noticed a larger range. That could be that I just didn't use it a ton before so I can't say for sure.
Where do I find all the updates on 'nerfs' because I just realize you can't super into ultra anymore for Ryu... Even though I'm solely focused on Bison and Akuma atm. Edit: spr into ultra directly w/o initial shoryuken
Capcom did not release them so we're left to figure them out on our own. I think you can still super into ultra but it's much harder.
@Abels anti air Standing punch is really good if theyre going to land on top of you or right in front of you. Practice it in the training room. Low hard punch isnt quite as good, it usually trades, but if the second hit hits them, trade or not, you can ultra afterwards. On wakeup if they jump in then backdash, ex roll or just block. Against characters like blanka and yun, who are going to jump alot, sometimes its better to jump back and do an attack, both of abels jumping attacks are good.
Played 10 matches against a Ken that had 2k BP. Just how there's scrubby Cammys that do random spiral arrows, this Ken just kept doing his random SRK and ultras. Lost 2 and won the rest to come out even in BP for both of us. Profiles are updating in less than 5 minutes now. It was only the first day that took forever since EVERYONE and their fathers were playing this game and overloading the server. Have you tried signing out of GC and signing back in? I'm not sure if that might help, but it's worth a shot. For me, I had to delete the app twice and start fresh for a third time; that's when it started uploading correctly for me. Yea, it kinda sucks that anything you do on SF4Volt is only dealt on the Japanese server. So, we can't look up videos you uploaded nor the other way around. Even direct links do not work since we do not have permission to download from servers that we are not in. The only replays we can find is if anyone that is on the US server uploads a replay playing against you. In my signature, there's the damage changes, but that's pretty much it. For everything else, I think you'll have to browse the forums. @nashberry Wow, crazy good Makoto. Hands down the best Makoto I've faced against. I never knew you could connect the tsurugi (is that the jumping kick?) into a ultra. I haven't faced off against one in a long time too so I forgot what the whiffed ultra looked like too... I thought there were continuation moves like Yun's which is why I just stood still for a while and there was no punish for it haha. @Shoryutofu Let's do our match for the tournament sometime today? I didn't know that DROQQA and Jibba completed theirs yesterday.
Oh yeah, I started using that Tsurugi-to-ultra link after watching nashberry replays myself. It's won me a fair few, thanks man.
I know I'm in Japanese tournament, but I can Only fight against people in US server, however I can't find US server replays. Where am I? I should complain to Capcom about either making accessibility to join Japanese server match ups from US server(this would be the best option but I know it probably is not going to happen) or just put me in the same server+tournament. I am a half Japanese half English though, I don't appreciate it as much when it is happening on my bloody iPod game thank you ^^ lol
I'm bored. Fun stuff time! Makoto: Hit an airborne opponent with a level 2 Focus Attack, dash forward, Fukiage. It works. And you can follow up with Tsurugi, EX Hayate. Abel: When you super close to a fireball spammer, use Falling Sky and you might get lucky, seeing as a lot of them prefer jumping back to backdash. You could also use EX Falling Sky for quick recovery, just in case. Not safe. :/ Yun: His Tetsuzanko used to be 90 damage, making it weaker than the Tetsuzanko in the console version. It is, of course, now 100 damage, on par with the console version. Guile: A lot of players don't realize that it's safe to attack him in between his double sweep now.
I wonder if the game detects what language we set our iDevices to and based off of that, it sends us to the corresponding servers. Any time after 7 is fine for me too. Just send me an invite? I hope we don't get confused this time whether it's friendlies or not haha.
Cody: After a Cr. MP, if you time the Ruffian Kick just right, you can do a second one in the corner.
