send me a invite some time. fastbridge..... I think u will be quite impressed with my akuma. I main him on the console and what is sick is that I can do pretty much eberything on my phone that I can do on the console. Ivew only had about 2 hours with him so far but I can already see that Im gonna be tearing it up.lol
I'm already impressed by you, from the way you actively help new players I can easily tell you're very good at SF4. Have a lot to learn otherwise I'd be badly humiliated I've myself just unlocked Akuma this morning. Any tips on how to use him? Which Akuma players should I learn from? is momochi the daigo of akuma?
If you want the BEST Akuma, you want to look at Tokido. Bar none, he's the top Akuma. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQcWTj_dOGY
That's because our health bar is handicapped against him. In Free Sparing mode, it's easy to beat Akuma on gruelling.
Wondering why no one comments on Zangief? Or use him in online play (so far only encountered once). I think he's a powerful player too on this IOS platform and had been playing online versus with him for some time. Due to the "shortcut" specials, his special moves are very easily executed. I am able to win most battles unless the person jumps around like mad. And if they is lag, you are not affected as badly as combo players (try doing a jumping kick > standing punch > Uppercut > Special when you are playing like 5 FPS) as compared to just a slam from Zangief. And with his damage, you do NOT need too many slams to kill someone (vs. Normal CPU Akuma: Normal X 2 slams = 50% health). Only had to be cautious of players with good range and damage e.g. Sagat. Just think in advance, trick someone to get in range, and that's it.
Well when it comes to changes, i recently saw a video on youtube of a match between Sagat and Deejay from SFIVV and i noticed that they added the dust when you get hit and fall down on the floor , also when u dash either way and you block the hits. At first i thought it was normal but after seeing another footage of SFIV with the same fight i noticed that the dust wasn´t present at all
I thought I'm not that bad (134-19-0) until I met this guy "Dr.MaCkY", my hands down, he is absly good damn fighter I dont even think I can win over him. If you met him, ready for a tough fight, he's really really good.
***Distress signal. Don't know how to enjoy SFIVV.*** Can someone tell me how to enjoy street fighter in general? I've played King of Fighters (long time ago) and enjoyed button mashing in that , Tekken was alright though I disliked the long combos. Guilty Gear is perhaps my favorite 2D fighting game due to the fast pace and simple combos. FF Dissidia (3D fighting) is my favorite fighting game due to single button moves and very deep fighting mechanics. Though Guilty Gear seems to be the most similar game out of my list to SF, 'something' just makes SF stand out form everything else I've played. I'm not sure what makes SF interesting and that's a problem because I can't really enjoy it.
I main akuma on console/pc/arcade/what have you. What I can say is his wakeup game is all there, vortex etc. But you're missing a lot of bread and butter combos though.
Am I the only one who thinks that Capcom could make some better Arenas/backgrounds? Come on, the background objects in the arenas are very blurry and it's like a picture/drawing with poor resolution/quality. I know that the iDevices can handle much better graphics, so why not make the backgrounds more clear and detailed? Either make the backgrounds like in the old SF2 games or make them like the other iPhone fighting game "Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior". That's a game with beutiful backgrounds. This game is almost perfect in its gameplay and the controls works as perfect as they can on a device. But I wish they would polish this game by updating the Arenas. I do also think that there should be a different Arena for every single character in the game.
I am being pwned by Akuma on Grueling difficulty. And the time has since stopped after it hits 99:59:99. As of this post, I have not kicked that SOB's butt yet. Still trying. Anyone has tips to share?
They could, but I'd rather they focus on making the online multiplayer as smooth as possible first. As it stands, even the solo mode isn't as smooth as the old SF4, probably because Capcom capped the framerate so there's not much difference between the solo and online mode.
I'm sure Capcom tried making better arena backgrounds, but they are probably hindered by the processing power that's available. And on top of that, I don't find myself looking at the background when my opponent's trying to serve me my a55.
Hmm, i'm skeptical about that reason for the crappy backgrounds- remember, this is a 2D game, using sprites that are made from the original 3d models. The ultras are merely FMVs, so although we have plenty of action going on on-screen, it's going to be less processor-intensive than a full-on 3d extravaganza (which is probably why it doesn't kill the battery too quickly in offline play.) Off the top of my head, i distantly recall somebody in an interview saying that it was to ensure that the characters themselves stood out as much as possible. (I could be totally mis-remembering that, though.) I really hope that they do update the backgrounds, since i don't think they look that good, and with the character shadows in Volt, it makes the disconnect between the (relatively) sharp-looking fighters and blurry backgrounds worse. Actually, are the character shadows new to Volt? They look kind of different somehow- like more directional or something?
Lalala another surprisingly easy win against a 1500BPer, another ragequitting 1500BPer, thanks blinnky! They should add being ragequit on to the bingo card, it's so easy to predict when it's going to happen. This has to be the worst competitive multiplayer implementation ever right?
