I was surprised Balrog and Cody made it into the cast for this one... just personally speaking, those two are my least favourite characters for SF, seriously uninteresting moves, especially Balrog. They should have added Juri and Seth instead, since they are sort of the "trademark" new characters introduced in SF4/SSF4. Others like El Fuerte or even Dan would have been nice. On a side note Akuma's AI in bonus stage is like on double steroids or something. Before everyone thought Bison was very hard on hard/gruesome, Akuma is like Bison with twice the steroids. Akuma on normal is like Bison on hard, and Akuma on hard is like Bison on gruesome, etc.
Change-wise, i mentioned already, but it got buried earlier in the thread- i'm pretty sure that C.Viper has a new special- the med. thunder knuckle, which travels straight forward, rather than rising up into the air- performed using 214P (D, DB, B, Punch). New combo opportunities here, definitely. Well, at least it wasn't in vanilla SFIV (except maybe got added in the most recent update?)
I think Seth would be nearly impossible to port onto the iOS, just think about how many moves he has. Sonic Boom, strechy limbs, Teleport, the SPD, wall dives..the Lightning Legs... That'd be a nightmare with SP! EDIT: Ah yeah, Viper did get her medium knuckles, didn't she? I was wondering why I was doing so much better with her. Just checked on the Vanilla SF4 and she only has her fierce thunder knuckles. They probably had to add it otherwise she wouldn't have 8 challenges
Well they managed to port over every single Akuma move (not really fair he gets VIP treatment while everyone else lost at least a few moves though), don't see why they'll have difficult with Seth's. E.g., SP = sonic boom, > + SP = shoryuken, ^ + SP = piledriver, V + SP = that engine thing, etc. He's not a character I use but he'll definitely be a unique one to use. I was surprised there's no "invite" or "selection" process in the online matches... all you do is click online match and it automatically selects an opponent for you from who knows where, no filters or anything. No wonder I'm getting severe lag, I might have been playing against peopel from the other side of the world. Personally I don't really care if someone ragequits, makes me feel even happier knowing I'm better than him/her. Don't really give a damn about those battle points or whatever, it's not like getting battle points will unlock different characters. No way to prevent that either as it's indistinguishable from a connection issue.
Yeah, but it gets really frustrating when just about EVERY game you play ends when your opponent quits just before you win the second round. I just played 4 straight games that all ended like this (I kept getting matched up with the same guy) Take a look at his card, he probably quits 8 or 9 times out of every 10 matches: As soon as he's down to 1/4th of his health in the second round, I get the disconnected message... His comment box also tells you how immature he is...
It's getting very frustrating and knowing capcom there won't be a update anytime soon to fix this madness.
All this game needs is 6 button control and AirPlay mirroring so we can play this on the big screen. Lol. Kinda of defeats the purpose of a x box but it would still be really cool. Also y doesnot game enter track battle points. Even though they are all tainted it would still be cool
Well not having separate punch buttons eliminates the use of low/med/fierce shoryus/hadoukens/hurricane kicks. And as a result, you really lose a lot of the combos that require the use of certain shoryus/fireballs/hurricane kicks.
The character graphics are pixelly enough on the iPhone screen though, wouldn't it just be large blocks fighting each other on a proper big screen?
Oh wow didn't know there was a stat for "drop rate" lol. Public humiliation? At least 50% of the matches I played ended up in ragequit/disconnection. The worst type is if the guy quits right at the moment when it goes to the "win" screen with the pose and quote. If that happens my iPod freezes and I gotta force-quit SF4, damn annoying. Oh and of course no battle points. Right now I just play friend matches, and I don't really get that bingo thing ane point exchange system either.
I'm finding that she may have lost some invulnerability on her EX thunder knuckle. I keep getting slammed on wake-up. Anyone else finding this? edit: oh yikes. she's also lost invulnerability on her Super. Those used to fly through fireballs.
So I mastered Claw, and moved onto Boxer. They really nerfed his combo into Ultra. It sucks. Only the first hit will count, the rest whiffs. I don't even know why they teach it to you in the combo section. I suppose it may be merely balancing issues... But it's so badly nerfed that the combo is completely useless. The TAP + Super combo is a million times more effective.
Interesting, with my 11 win (plus 7 or 8 wins but for ragequitters) 30 loss record I've been rather enjoying my avatar's 80+% win rate by comparison . I have 40% of the titles unlocked, and as it seems to be pretty much entirely lucky tap based, getting too many more is going to be a pain. The bingo card thing is cool too, I've managed a full card twice, and that translates into decent SP for getting new titles! Now if only I could manage more of the combo challenges to get more icons!
I just unlocked akuma. My record is 90-10. I went in training with akuma and I am blown away at the depth he has. A good akuma player on this platform will not be able to be beat. His move list is all there and applied corerctly he is a force. anybody want to spar hit me up on gamecenter anytime after 8pm. Fastbridge
2 pussy's...I hate these people both quit after they got owned. If u quit on me Im posting you here so everybody can see what a bitch you are
I'm not impressed by a couple of Akuma players I met. All they did was spamming sps without any real plan.. They don't even know how to chain combos! I lost both times, but came very very close to winning both encounters. Those Akumas only needed 1 more hit to be beaten. And I'm average. Any good fighters will easily beat most Akumas in the game. A good Akuma player is an entirely different matter. I'm honestly scared to meet one
59 win streak and.. 159 win streak!?!?!?! LOLOLOLOLOL Unless they're Daigo, Mago, Sako and Co, everyone will know straight away they're pussi-s. You should post them here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=99365 The ultimate losers just entered the ring!!
