Akumas are the worst about that. Holy crap. I main Akuma, but I never use that strategy. It's so annoying! Akuma can be all kinds of dangerous when he's aggressive. Why you would want to run away and spam SP is beyond me.
I still think akuma beats sagat. Akuma can just play lame and win the fireball war. Akuma has low health, but he has some really damaging combos that arent too hard. His ultra will catch you if you try to jump or miss an uppercut, it can even punish whiffed tiger knees if youre fast, and his super is like zangiefs, you actually cant jump away if he does it right next to you. I think everyone underrates akuma becauss so many new players use him. He has good keepaway, good rushdown, good footsies and great mixups. Still, if you think so ill put it at 5-5 I read about how you said balrog is a bad match for sagat a while ago, so I put it as nearly even. But sagats damage is just so good. Still if you think its a bad match for sagat. Would you say 5-5 or 5.5-4.5 to balrog? And i have played tenonez before, beat my yun 7-1 :S About balrog and fei being in the wrong tiers. So i kind of agree about fei long, I think he's high-mid tier, but I just put the matchups how I see them, so Id need some advice on what matchups to change if that makes sense. I dont agree on balrog being top tier, but we'll see what tenonez says. So sagat-balrog and sagat akuma 5-5?
I agree. I main Akuma and can say Sagat is definitely not one of the tougher opponents. Ryu can be a b***h to fight, though. Sagat can take Akuma out in few moves, but Akuma can counter just about everything he has. If Akuma blocks an uppercut or close tiger knee, he can severely punish Sagat with ease. I get a ton of people who quit before the fight starts and I assume it's because I use Akuma. So many people use him to play keep away and spam SP that I think most just assume that's what I'll do (I'm actually a pretty aggressive Akuma). I even try to avoid Akumas sometimes. If I'm not in the mood to chase down some jackass who keeps running away, I won't even bother starting the fight. Sometimes.
In my experience I find the "keep away" characters (other than Dhalsim, of course) to be almost exclusively Ryu and Guile...mostly Ryu though. Most Ryu's can use only crouching medium kick + fireball and jump-in cross-up + insert move here + SRK combo (with optional FADC + ultra) and still be hard for my Blanka to kill.
Maybe 2/3 of ryus i play will literally just sit there. If I walk forward then its cr mk-fireball. Guile's way more infuriating though. Cammy-guile is just a stupid, stupid match.

GG Vaceotyn, was trying to avoid you to steal my precious BPs, but the stupid match system keep matching us, damn it. lol, seems you started a new profile from scratch, after our fights, I immediately matched up with Ken!Ken and his new profile, it's really hard to maintain BPs aganist all of you "new" users. GG Ken|Ken, it's amazing you completely changed the strategy of your dhalsim, those are some very refresh moves you did, it gives a lot of hopes to all dhalsim player that he ain't hopeless in this new update. I am very impressed and looking forward to learn those new strategies from you.( I aslo play dhalsim as my second character)
The rumors are true: you really can perform a super in between kicks from Guile's double sweep. Bwaahahahaaaaaaaaaa
