iPad STREET FIGHTER IV Volt - [Capcom]

  1. You can't because your friend might intentionally lose so you can gain BP . I think they want to prevent that thats why its not possible .

Of course not. You could play ranked matches against yourself (other device, other account) and boost your BP as much as you'd ever want to.

I was about to post some pro-videos here too, but you beat me to it. :)

Anyways, that Guile VS Ryu match must be something like a nightmare for all the fireball spam haters. But it has good point: Do what ever it takes to win. Honda vs Ryu though is something good to watch if fireballs are causing trouble for you.

And another good video: EVO 2009 SFIV Grand Final - Abel, Balrog (Justin Wong) vs Ryu (Daigo) part 1

    Part 2 Part 3 Part 4

The most important thing to take notice from these videos is how the players handles the fireballs. They don't just stay in the corner and take the damage. You shouldn't either.

And for those who may not know: Daigo is the best Street Fighter player in the world. If he spams fireballs like that, then surely it's perfectly viable option for all the beginners out there to do the exact same.

He doesn't "spam". Zoning is something every shoto needs to do. Look at momochi play Akuma. I'm partial to tokido's aggressive play myself (best wakeup game in the business), but momochi gets better tourney results/showings with a more balanced play.

Wouldn't say Daigo's the best. Most popular, world renown, maybe. Best? Questionable. He's the slayers_boxer of Street Fighter though.

So all the talk about adding and battling against friends is just for friendly matches? And a pair who can repeatedly battle each other must've had the other guy on their friends list too?

Just wanting to clarify since I'm a bit confused here. Some people seem to be able to fight against a stranger for 3 consecutive fights (see a few pages back) <-- so that must be a friendly match with his friend then?

Uh, the focus should be only a split second. You dash (or just let the focus go if you're close enough) right as you parry to punish.

  7. Yea adding on GC is for friendly battles only . You don't need to be friends to repeatedly battle against the same person because at the end of the match there is an option to continue or exit game . If both continue then its possible to keep fighting . That is if you actually make it to the end without a ragequit from opponent :)

  8. You can FADC and jump or block, or try FADCing the second fireball to get closer .

Yea, I didn't use the word "spam" too seriously. Point being: He uses it alot -> Spams. But of course he knows when to do Hadoken and when not to. The difference between beginner and professional.

Well, I guess it's difficult to find out who is the absolute best in videogames. There's so many tournaments and games changes all the time etc. But at least he's among the best SF players. And he does win tournaments quite alot.

Is there any way I can TRANSFER my having unlocked Akuma, from one device to another?

I primarily play on an iPhone 4 but, enjoy duking it out on my iPad 2 sometimes as well. I wish the unlock was tied to GC Achievements but unfortunately, it isn't.

Is there a way to transfer my save data from the iPhone to iPad?

Thanks for your answer, but I heard someone who said someone ragequitted on him three times, as he gave him the benefit of doubt twice <-- that must've also been against his friend then?

Is it possible to fight the same person without adding him as friend? (I like certain players but don't wanna fill up my friends list just for a round or two of SF4). Or is it just completely random?

The one thing I hate the most, more than ragequitters at this point, is how popup alerts always disconnect you. It's a phone!!! Texts and alerts are almost certainty. Airplane mode is not a solution because, first, it's my phone. And second, calendar and low-batt alerts will still popup.

Can't you just turn your notifications of?

  15. Well if you're jailbroken, there's a tweak to stop all popups . Otherwise :(

Yea. The unlock is just a single file in the documents folder . You can use iphone explorer to transfer it jailbroken or not .

Just realized that friendly matches aren't limited to just your friends. Didn't know gamecenter was it's own match making service as well.

Enjoyment for the game went up 73%. I can play friendly matches all day, win or lose I have a lot of fun and get a lot of practice in. This game may have issues, but it's still fun as hell.

Again, not to say that hell is fun....

    I got it already
    but sometimes when I FADC
    I don't dash accordingly:confused:

by the way, if I FADC continuously
and will the life temporary diminishes
all gone if I got in during the recovery process

or just the dmg I received ?

  19. You need to HOLD DOWN the focus button and dash , THEN release the focus button .
When you absorb an attack the corresponding damage on your health bar turns grey . This grey health will slowly recover provided you are not attacked . If you are blocking an attack it will stop recovering , if you get attacked the grey part + damage from attack will be gone from your health bar .

I see. So if I do too much FADC and got hit in the recovery process
I will be doing the opponent a huge favor. Hmm
