Oh man it's time to do some ranking climbing :D

EDIT: is it just ranked matches for replays? Or do they put the friendlies in there too?

I was under the impression that there are friendlies too but I could be wrong.

Well this was unexpected. Will be checking to see if any changes were made to Viper.

Well this is exciting! I'm looking forward to check this new iteration of the game out. I'm glad they're supporting some sort of tournament scene online and the replays thing is great! But let's get down to brass tacks....

Sagat doesn't need damage nerfs as much as he needs recovery added. Imagine if there was more recovery time on Tiger shots and Tiger Knee, then he'd be nowhere near as scary. So he may have gotten nerfed in some way, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Guile is number 2?? o_O Wow, didn't see that one coming! I'll join up to the team soon as I update. Is it sort of like a clan type thing or more like an actual team that you can battle other teams with?

I just started playing Ranked again after a month away and it just confirmed what a cesspool it is. Players spamming, playing lame (I had a guy play runaway Akuma yesterday for almost three rounds where time ran out before I just said "screw this" and left to go back to work and then sent ME hate mail [I beasted him in our first match though too ;) ]), playing the same three characters.... Friendly is definitely the way to go if you want a good match. I just wish there was some way you could filter people in Friendly like you can in Ranked. It'd be cool if you could play More Skilled or whatever there too.

In all, I'm all for no more new characters being added if they tweak the ones we already have.

You have to record them, and go to replay then touch "upload" ;) btw it's pretty instant.

So there are rankings per character now too?

NinjaEdit: nevermind, I just answered my own question.

Oh, darn it. Looks like Display Recorder is still needed after all.

Also, the download's smaller than before (443 MB vs 905MB), but when installed, still takes the same amount of space. I believe this is Apple's fault for not compressing the IPA properly!

Holy... I can't wait to see what tweaks have been made! In SF (the iOS app), it says that they replaced a special move. :/

He seems to be largely unchanged at first glance. I'm having trouble jumping forward though - it seems to really enjoy jumping in place. Maybe that's just my hands.

Also, does anyone else notice that guile's EX sonic boom seems slower?

Can someone do me a quick favor and check how much stun Viper's jump punch does before the update?

Also, what's so good about Sakura's light tatsu?

Buff is pretty much a positive change to a character.

Example: Ryu's dragon punch was buffed. This means that it could be faster, do more damage, hit more times, etc.

Nerfs are negative changes or decreases to a character.

Example: Ryu's hadouken was nerfed. Meaning that it could be slower, it does less damage, he has slower recovery after doing it, etc.

    My good sir.

Good games last night TenOnez. That low jab followed by overhead dash is so tough to block. I knew it was coming every time and tried to block low then high but it just wouldn't come out. It was definitely a good learning experience though. I've got a long way to go with my Balrog.
