So when it says "you were disconnected" it's just that the player you just defeat is a sore loser who can't accept defeat? Or am I actually the one disconnecting...? I just won 5 battles, I got credit for none. :'(
Already give up playing online battle (106-16-0), too many quiters, will back to the game if CAPCOM fix the disconnect bug!!!
Yeah ragequitting makes it a real waste of time to play some folks. I think the friendly matches are usually more rewarding but, meh, whatever. It's just a game.
Can you do a ranked match with your friends though? I've tried playing with my friend and all I can do is inviting her for a friendly match. She can't add me to a ranked match as well.
Rage quitters ruin this game. People who spam hadouken also ruin this game. Spammers are annoying as hellllll
Same question. 99% sure nothing wrong with my wifi... I was surprised that people keep quitting even though I'm only an average-leveled player... and what's more, I'm not even choosing "cheap" characters like Sagat or Akuma So far the only two characters I played as are Bison and Honda lol. And what are "online battle points" for? *Sigh* Like previously mentioned 1000000 times before... spammers will lose the match if you know how to play. I had absolutely no problem with Sagat spamming tiger shots even though I was playing as Bison, won with ease simply with timed teleports and that move where he stands on the guy's head. By the way, why are online matches soooooo laggy (low framerate)? I'm using an iPod Touch 4G for goodness sake, the thing should run as smooth as ever since even my iPhone 3G can run SF4 with no lag!
To me its : If you can't beat the spammers with your skill then you're not really as good as you think . Sure its irritating to play them but there will be loopholes in the way they spam their skills, you should find these vulnerable spots and attack them, normally it should be easy to counter them . For example , to counter hadoken spammers , as a sagat user the best way is to use ex tiger shots , they would have to block and you can use this time to spam them back . Or in akuma's case, the shakunetsu red fireball pretty much guarantees a win in fireball spamming . Besides that there are also other skills that can counter fireballs . Balrog's dashing punch and buffalo headbutt goes right through projectiles; also timing his ultra in reaction to a fireball if you're close to the opponent could spell death for him . Blanka's EX rolling ball, Chun Li's ultra, Zangief's normal and EX green hand, Cammy's EX spiral arrow are perfect moves to punish projectile spamming .
Esp if you're using a projectile character, there's no reason you can't throw fireballs back (albeit sometimes slower). Other options to get around projectiles: Deejay's EX Double Kick, Bison's EX Scissor Kick, Dhalsim's Teleport, Abel's Ultra, Ken/Ryu's Hurricane Kick, Bison's Headstomp, Cammy's Ultra, CViper's Flame Kick, CViper's EX electric fist .. practically everyone has a counter to fireballs. I've been rotating through each character playing against my friend's Ryu in SF4 iOS (non-Volt), and the most trouble I've had was with Zangief. Everyone else, I was getting 55% or higher. Even with Zangief it was 40%. Fireball traps are a part of Ryu's arsenal. Distance and spacing is one of the keys to getting around fireballs. Stay in range so that you can jump over his fireballs, but not get caught by an uppercut -- in particular, make sure you don't jump-kick in this case. Sticking your foot out lengthens your recovery on landing -- so bait him into whiffing an uppercut instead. Also, you can Focus-backdash-cancel his fireballs from distance, and build up your revenge meter. Great for Cammy, Chun-Li, and Abel, just make sure you don't get hit while recovering your energy from the Focus. It's like a game of basketball -- if I can make an open jump-shot, and you can't figure out that you need to guard me closer, I'll just keep making that shot. It's a chess-match, and the use of the SP button gets rid of the technical complexity, so it's all about anticipation and reading your opponent's patterns.
Is it me or is it really difficult to get a fight, I've been trying for days and I've only got 2 online fights lol, may be because I'm living in the middle east considering the fact i've only ever though an ahemad and a saeed, anyone experiencing the same thing?
all those EX's skills need the meter to be filled 1st I encountered spammer who started the spamming from start to end
I was wondering what the BPs were too. I guess they're something you can look at to see in an instant how skilled your opponent is? I don't really see any merit to that system. Who said I couldn't beat them...? I still think they're SUPER annoying. I think the ipod may be doing a lot of things at once. I agree that it's ridiculously laggy. It only improves a bit if I sit near my wifi router. Maybe it's a problem with insufficient ram?
infinite fireballing is cheap an amateurs way however is reasonably easy to get around if your using a fireballer also then us it at time to get closer to you opponent to corner him, once you have him cornered then if good enough you can finish him, Im no expert compared to what I've seen but I've played street fighter for over 18 years now lol in fact street fighter was the first game I ever played in my life. I'ts like mooken said is all about the mind
I think there might be a memory leak issue. After a bunch of vs games (say, 20 or so) I start to get lag even in single player mode.
last night I was trying Vega, Bison and Guile annoying like shit I'm using those charging characters hard to play against those cheap tactics I just wan to train some other characters but then was forced to pick Ryu or Ken and I'm not gd in controlling the circular movement
I had issues the first few days due to a poor connection (2 squiggles on radar). Since getting a proper router, I've now ruined my life. Add me on gamecenter is you're looking for a game. GC:mooken Been playing sf2 since highschool - guile invisible throws !
