Heres a couple of silent replays I recorded: Here is pretty much a replica of the other fights i had with cyrus814: Me getting my ass kicked!
I guess cause i didnt think to try it in time! The only times ive been bombarded by that from Zangiefs online, they were not as accurate. I'll try the uppercut next time, plus he says just stand and block, then try to counter. I just want to hit him and get out of there.
One more reason I don't like fighting Abel. This turd beat me in two moves (ultra, super) after I got his HP almost 100% gone I did not tap the icon.
Thanks for welcoming me to TouchArcade guys! I usually have my good and bad days, but there was one C. Viper player that completely destroyed me no matter what I did. Double perfected in one match and lost 3 straight. I don't remember the GC name though, sorry. It was a while ago when I played them. His Crouching Punch is a great anti-air, but it has a weird angle. You have to be sure the person will get hit by it. Balrog's overhead punch works well for people that like to crouch most of the game. I try to mix it up personally with a overhead punch, crouching + K, into another overhead punch, then follow it up with either: 1. Crouching + K into headbutt 2. Another overhead punch It's easy to get hit out of though if your oppenent is expecting it. I also like to put an EX overhead punch in the mixup somewhere for opponents that like to use a light attack to hit me out of it. Balrog works worst when someone is constantly jumping over him, to me. It's hard to get someone that is jumping over him because it can be a guess on if the crouching punch will hit them. Headbutts can be used to escape but you're wide open to something because of the recovery. Headbutt goes through fireballs so if a person just blindly uses a fireball attack, you can just go through the fireball with that, even fireball ultras. EX headbutt can get you out of some ultras. I've hit Guile players out of their ultras with it and, for some ultras, it can give you enough invincibility to get out of it without getting chip damage. EX punch does well against fireballs since it absorbs the first hit. You have to time it right because if your opponent expects it, they can space it so that you will absorb the fireball and they still have time to recover and hit you with something else. Armor breaker moves (Tiger Knee, Hurricane Kick, etc) can knock you out of it. Jumping K can hit people that are crouching and you can follow it up with a crouching P into headbutt into ultra or crouching P into standing charge Punch, or however you want to do it. It's up to you. Turn Punch (Holding down K or P) can go through fireballs if you time it right and hit your opponent, but you can get hit out of it if the opponent can recover fast or have your punch blocked. Can armor break. Mixup his charge punches. Charging low punch (I tend to do it like a standing charge punch then going diagonally down+forward) to trip your oppenent and mixing it up with overhead punches and standing punches can drain a lifebar quickly. Balrog is a good character and has his ups and downs. I don't know why people don't really pick him, but I guess he can be some work. You just have to know the matchup and the dos and don'ts. He can work well on relentless rushes and work well as a defensive character. You can mix up his punches from charging standing punch and charging low punch to mess with your opponent and make them do something risky to get out of it by acting like you're going to do a charge punch to bait them into something. That's some stuff off the top of my head.
Sure, it's alright with me. I've mostly been making offline changes in wordpad (Microsoft Word ain't working for me. )
Against Hondas, his straight SP punch will connect off a blocked Sumo Headbutt. Conversely, a blocked Balrog SP punch can be punished by honda's standing kick. Hondas can also command-grab or Ultra-grab Balrog out of any charge move, particularly ones that hit late (i.e. uppercut or overhand or turnaround, but i've had it happen even to a straight punch that decided to throw out late).
If you don't have down charge then down forward punch should beat pretty much any jump in, really good priority.
AAHAHA This is the most fun I've had with this game in a long time. Some guy lost to me 4/1 and sent me an angry invite saying that using hadouken's is dishonorable. I, of course, called him a crybaby and he started threatening to fight me for real if I lived in New York. This went on for a while, so I told him to "meet me outside in ten minutes", clearly joking. He writes back and wants to know where I told him 82nd & Broadway (I used to work there, so the address just popped in my head). I can't wait until he writes back. I sooooo hope he goes to find me there, especially since I live in Denver.
LOL, sore loser. Next thing is, he'll tell you that hitting him back is dishonorable too and you should just stand there and let him hit all he wants. Let us know what happens.
Hey TenOnez, would that be YYOJJO? Or I can think of another person who has like 7200BP but for him, I can't remember the GC name..
Just match with police Vietnam's guile. His guile is quite calm and skillful! Did you guys have match with him?
Heres a couple more: another fight with cyrus. I had to lol after this. Fighting like a noob pays off.
Wow I am impressed Rshkhsee, I see you have improved a lot. I am also glad to see you're fond of the infamous 'jump back' strategy, lol
It's strange... I was just fighting the CPU Cody, and he pulled off a St. P, Bingo Punch(And it said "2 Hit Combo"). :/ Couldn't replicate it in the training room though. Closest I got was St. P, EX Bingo Punch.
Rshkshee we have to play sometime soon. It's nothing but Sagats all day it seems, would be great to get some more games in on something else and it looks like you've dramatically improved. I'll test you with my Blanka.
