Best solution would be disconnecting should cause you two losses that way even if their losing it's better for them to stay.
I've yet to try online myself I don't like the thought of people having the SP button in online matches as it's something I don't want to use myself.

I fought Ryu some time ago, he kept spamming kamehameha and uppercut when i got close.

I picked up Akuma and oooooh the sweet revenge, down+sp spam, man it felt good. From now on, only Akuma online.

hey guys i just want to express my happiness about this game!

i didnt get the first SFIV when it first came out for the iphone because i thought that the controls aren't going to sit well on the iphone, but when volt came out for a buck i bought it instantly and im really surprised that the controls are very easy to use and feels very responsive, i clearly wasn't expecting the controls to be that good so i didn't get my hopes up. the smooth gameplay really hit me as a suprise :)

btw can anyone tell me how to unlock akuma? a pm would be appreciated thanks!

Dont forget that you should not use ANY continue, even while fighting Akuma. If you lose against anyone before or when fighting the last stage and use a continue, i dont think Akuma will show up. If you continue while fighting Akuma, you have to start over again and fight him again.

So no continues, kill Akuma, should be very easy, i beat him on any character except Chun-Li, which is the worst character in game now. You have to jump up, use punch and run away, repeat dont go full charge on him or he will kill you.

I heard you can also get him by figting in 100 online matches.

Yea you can do any of the following:
    1. Win 3 round arcade mode with everyone without using any continue
    2. Win 3 round arcade mode on grueling without using any continue
    3. Win 100 online ranked matches

SP Assist is a feature of the game. It's perfectly OK to use it in online matches.

If you expect to be matched against fireball spammer - use a character that can easily counter fireball spamming.
If you expect to be matched against player who uses SP Assist - Turn on SP Assist if it helps you to win such player.

I don't understand all this whining about the SP assist. It is a design choice to include this button to compensate for the virtual controls of the game. This makes the whole thing a lot more approachable for casual gamers with no or little SF experience. This is very suitable for this game, being a cell phone game! Therefore, if you prefer not to use it, this is ok. But don't complain that others choose differently. If you cannot compete against those who use it, maybe you are not as good as you think ;)

Indeed. Touchscreen is everything but optimal control method for fighting games, so having little assist to help is perfectly understandable. I have missed number of good places to punish or counter because of failing to pull off special move.

Anyway, had my first match against "true SP spammer". He played Sagat and beat me to it (I haven't played against many Sagats). He had good timing and used his specials pretty well. Then we had another match for which he decided to switch to an inferior Ryu (protip: Sagat is OP vs beginners). I beat him this time aaaannnndd... wait for it... waaaait fooor iit... He disconnected.

    Sigh.

The majority of the whining is really about the Home button, which is totally OP in how it avoids losses. I have no issue with SP assist, in fact there is an achievement for playing with it on, so I will be turning it on pretty soon.

Then maybe I can branch out from my standards: Sagat, Balrog, Cody, Deejay. I especially avoid Honda and Zangief online because I can so rarely manage their ultra movements, despite advice on here :). So I can totally see SP assist's positives. The button that should be removed is the Home button!

Damn I was 95-3 and my phone died and I had to get a replacement. Now I need to start all over. Fml. Guys we need to start a thread where we can all post names of rage quitters. It's getting ridiculous. What I do is send them a friends request in game enter and give them a piece of my mind. But with this list we can play there game. Let them beat us so bad and when they think they one give them there own medicine. I usually would nor condone this cause I caneasily beat most people but it's getting to the point where it's out of control and pissing me off. I hope
Capc has some kind os soloytion for this madness

I can't believe people even ragequit in Friendly Matches. But then again, I've fought some decent players who care more about the gameplay rather than BP in there.

I've also noted the surge of Zangief players; the lag and SP + UP is ridiculous.

If I understood them correctly, many of the arguments simply proposed an online mode that prohibited SP Assist (alongside with a mode that allows it), which seems very reasonable to me, and probably rather important if Capcom is hoping to build a strong competitive community.

With iOS devices relying on Game Center to auto-match, the old multiplayer tradition of servers with different settings and filters seems to have been lost in the paradigm shift. A bit of a shame, as I would have liked to see it make it into this brave new world. It would have been become fast friends with auto-match, and their eventual eternal love story would have pleased us all.

I have to admit at my house were i have speeds at 25mbps up and down the game runs super smotth most of the time. i think with some tweaks and server upgrade this game is gonna rock out hard. and if att or verizon move to 4g speeds then this game might be a play anywhere game and that would be a dream cometrue

I'm adding you sir! And Ablueleaf too. Anyone feel free to add me. My GC name is DoctaMario and while my Internet isn't always blazing fast, I'm more than happy to play and I'm not a ragequitter either.

What if we had a list of everyone's GC names in the first post so we could add each other?
