Nothing scares me more than a good Abel. Dhalsim used to intimidate me, but I think he's fun now. Zangief freaks people out a lot, but he's a breeze 95% of the time once you figure him out well. But, a good Abel... urgh I think it's so tough because you have to be so damn careful around him. Zangief is the same way, but he's slow. Abel has roll. That f***ing roll. It's leaves him completely exposed for a moment, but you have to have great reaction time to actually hit him and if you miss, you'll pay dearly. Then there's his Ultra that I think is the single most bateable Ultra in the game. Arial attack: bam; projectile: bam; missed attack: bam. It's enough to give you an ulcer.
No. Id block a criminal upper or bingo knuckle (or whatever its called)and then youd ultra, not on reaction. It caught me twice because i tried to rekka, but after that i caught on and then i just waited for you to do it and punished, which happened 4 times (yes i counted). Im not mad, it just lowers my opinion of you. I can fully understand a random ultra every now and then, everybody does it, but you did the same thing 6 times in a row. :3 :V :| :3 :V :| :3 :V :|
My abels ass now, i havent played him since the last time i did an abel mirror with tofu, cant remember the time before that, but some stuff still sticks so i kind of know what im doing. The secret to beating abel is jumping at him again and again and again until he anti airs you. Blankas stupid jump arc makes that match such a pain. Standing punch is a really good anti air, but most abels dont use it, and it doesnt help on wakeup or against crossups. Ive only played 1 abel who i consider better than mine ever was, and the reason he was so good is because he could block. He was really patient until he got a knockdown and then he would go nuts. Its so scary to do anything against abel on wakeup. Block-you get thrown, uppecut-blocked or rolled away then punished, jump-meaty low hard punch-falling sky. And everything he does leads ino another untechable knockdown. I actually just fought a Yun a minute ago and it was most fun I've had in this game in a long time. He had a lot of BP and really knew what he was doing. He had a hard time connecting his attacks, but when he did he would lay into me for what seemed like forever. He's the first good one I've played. Out of three matches, he won 2/1. Good fights, though.
Alright Fffan, you can add me to your list of "people sick of facing low-kick-to-tiger-knee" Sagats. Low kick + Knee...Low kick +knee...low kick + double-hit knee + uppercut FADC + low kick + low tiger shot for spacing. Jumping is impossible because you get hit by the low kick. Elec isn't fast enough. I need to spend meter just to escape, and if he blocks I've wasted meter, been punished, and have to deal with it all again. So frustrating. 3 Seperate Sagats today doing that, in a row. I didn't do too poorly against them, so it's not like I don't know how to deal with the strat and pull out wins..I went 50/50 or better with each one...but it's just so frustrating as Blanka, because without meter I'm so worthless and my throw range is nonexistent. /sigh where *IS* Adon?
Focus backdash the low kick maybe? I just backdash or uppercut fadc out of sagat tiger knee pressure, but cammys backdash is awesome and blanka cant fadc his ex upball sooo....good luck Edit: I dont know if people know this or not, but all backdashes have invnicibilty frames. You see top players using them all the time to get out o pressure, but almost never on volt.
I can't uppercut FADC because vertical ball doesn't allow for FADC (it's off the ground). And tiger knee has more active frames than backdash has invincibility frames. Try it in training - doesn't work : (

GGs fffan, havent played you in ages watching a film so i only had time for a few. eugghh i shouldve won the bison match but i choked. and im probably the only person who likes playing against sagat, its probably 5.5-4.5 to him against cammy, but all cammys wakeup tricks work perfectly on him most sagats online have no idea what to do so they just mash uppercut. i know i complain about her bad matchups, but when she gets momentum...... anyway ggs, we have to play more often.

It's not that I hate Sagat - It's just that that specific technique gets old fast. I enjoying playing Sagats who mix it up a bit. Same reason I don't like Kens who just mash Shoryuken - where's the actual "game" there?

Only after using Sagat have I learned that you can just break up the madness after a blocked double-hit knee with a throw. I haven't played SF4Volt in what it feels like ages. Last person I played was Nullroar and I don't even know what day that was on. I think I'll stick to Bison. I forgot how much I don't know the matchups using Sagat. Your Cammy seems to have improved drastically since the last time we played. I wonder how you size up to Vietnam's #1 Cammy. Haven't been keeping up with the thread, but am I the only one that sees this huge troll roaming around us?
