here's the thing, ragequit. no matter what the excuse (spammers, cheaters, whatever) is wrong, cheap, and stupid. some people have their own playstyle. spammer is one of them. their playstyle is spamming. there's nothing wrong with that. some people use strategy. some people use throw. some people use combo. etc

capcom seriously need to fix this game. make it instant win if someone disconnect for whatever reason. even if there's message popup. its their fault. and they should be penalized for it.

just did another 30+ ish battle. only 2 didnt ragequit. and we had 3-4 continuos battles. its fun. but whenever someone ragequit. i feel like closing the game and deleting it off my iphone

I personally think its fun trying to beat the opponents tactic and fireball spamming is a perfectly viable one. If i can't beat it, I'm not good enough.

Coming from a Zangrief player who has no projectiles...

It's just a series of dice rolls that are represented with damage and your stats have an effect on those numbers. As for skills, they pretty much do what they say they do in the description. As for picking best skills, I don't think there is a "best" set but definitely all the titles on the right are the ones you should be picking from since they are the Tier 3 version of the sets on the left column.

Aside from picking the skills, you have to consider the character (icon) that you want. For me, what seems to be working really well is the icon you get for getting 20 losses. It has really high luck base and that seems to be a huge factor in winning matches.

Oh, and I finally got Challenge 8 complete for C.Viper. It was kinda frustrating, but not as frustrating as Guile's... that one's still a pain. I can get all the moves to go, but the last one never connects even after 2 hits from the Super Combo.

O.K. I got Guile's 8th challenged nailed down and can do it 100% of the time.

    How it works:

Walk up to jumping Ryu and charge Downback. Do not move your finger once you're charging, you'll need the charge. Then when Ryu is at the max height of his jump and JUST begins to fall, press SP (KEEP CHARGING DOWNBACK), IMMEDIATELY after you press SP, press the Super bar to launch Guile's Double Flash. If you've done it correctly, THE FIRST Flash kick of Guile's Double Flash will Whiff, but the second will hit, causing Ryu to fly high into the air, at which point, mash out the Ultra and BINGO , challenge complete.

The Trick is immediately cancelling the first Flash kick into the Double flash. As soon as you hit SP you MUST hit the super bar to cancel the normal Flash kick into his Super combo.

It's a REALLY stupid combo. The fact that half of the Super combo is wasted makes it nearly pointless, combined with the damage scaling and the fact that it uses a full super bar AND your ultra.

If you're really good with Guile, you're better off doing jump in fr. kick, cr. lp x3, flash kick, FADC backdash into Ultra. Much more effective.

Got it! Thanks for the very thorough steps on how to do it. I completely disregarded someone else's post about cancelling the Flash kick into the Double flash. I kept on being stubborn and trying to land the single, wait until he lands, do the double, wait until he lands and then did the ultra which wasn't working out too well haha.

Now, on to getting 20 survival wins with everyone and all the Icons will be filled.

Oh, and there's still the mystery of what the achievement under "Exorcise the Demon!" is.

Umm, is that achievement supposed to be secret or what? Because I can see it just fine on my iPhone running iOS 5 Beta 2. And no, I haven't done it.

    For those interested...
    Death Match Winner 25p
Defeat Akuma in Arcade mode on Grueling difficulty

A lot of people have been wondering that. I assumed it was for beating Akuma the first time.

Does that sound right to anybody else?

  10. It's just beating akuma in arcade mode .

This is basically SFIV with a couple of new characters and online multiplayer that's full of rage-quitters. Why didn't they just update the original instead? Simple, so they can charge money all over again. So anyone like me who bought SFIV at full price can just GTFO and pay again for what we should have received in an update. NO F*****G CHANCE. Disgusting!

Come on, bluewomble- don't be angry.

Like you, i paid 8EUR/ $9.99 for SFIV when it came out. Since that time, it received three update packs, each for free, which contained two new characters each time, bringing the roster up from 8 to 14.

Now this new version adds online multiplayer, 4 new characters, balancing fixes and graphical enhancements.

Sure, a lot of people think it should have been updated for free, but i think it's a little better to take a step back, and lose that sense of self- entitlement. Hell, i'd like it if it were free, however still i only had to pay 0.79EUR/ $0.99 for this. That's the price of a bar of chocolate, man.

Plus it can't hurt to fund them a bit more to hopefully be bothered to retinise the graphics, and keep the new characters coming! It is cool that we run the whole gamut in here, from those saying they would happily pay $10 for online multiplayer being added to those that would happily pay nothing for it or pretty much anything ever again.

I agree with you although I do think they have tweaked it slightly as I seem to be pulling of the moves a bit better (although maybe that's just me adjusting).

I do find capcom to be very shady lately and it wouldn't surprise me to see a Super Street Fighter 4 Volt released in 6 months.

Oh yeah- no doubt! I certainly feel like i've lost a lot of faith in them regarding their mobile business- the pretty poor versions of RE: Mercenaries, DMC and Dead Rising, being sold at relatively high prices, really do leave a bad taste in the mouth, but i've been pleasantly surprised by their efforts on SFIV.

Also, when you think about it, paying $0.99 for some DLC (like the SFII BGM, which i happily paid for the nostalgia value in SFIV) isn't really a million miles away from paying that same amount for SFIV:Volt on release day...

Everybody had a chance to buy it at that low price, and although now it's increased, i don't really think there's any point in raging about it, since it's not like the opportunity wasn't there. The way i looked at it was: less than a buck for online multi, FOUR NEW CHARACTERS, AND tweaks? That's a bargain and a half.

If they do release a Super Volt at some point, and follow this introductory sale price, i'll be there if you get as much for that cash as i did when 'upgrading' to Volt.

Well I have the normal SF4 and I was more than happy to pay 59p for the new version it's just the same as what they do every year with other games like FIFA,tiger woods etc but here it was only 59p and there's not much that will get you today (probably 1/4 of a happy meal)

And if they did release an SSFIV in six months I think most people would be only too pleased to pay! I just can't see it happening in any way, shape or form with the graphical effort they seem to want to put in ... or lack thereof.

Anyway, another series of ragequitters YAY! Mr W14NTED I guess that's just how you got your win streak! I start to find it hard to believe there are enough people that don't quit out for people to get big streaks and such!

Yeah they need to make it that if you quit it counts as a loss for the quiter and a win for the other player.

Exactly! Easy solution to the problem (as it is handled in Carcassonne).

I just did 3 games and all were ended by ... guess! .... ragequitting! And all of these guys had like a 50:1 win/loss ratio. So guess how they got this...

I will not play online anymore until Capcom addresses this issue!
