ok so i've had something weird happen a few times over the last few matches Playing Sagat, I landed the following moves in order: Jumping p, standing p, crouching k, tiger knee. After I landed those, "3 hit combo" came up. Which means either I linked the 1st 3 together, or the last 3. I'm thinking it was the last 3. Either way, it means that I linked standing p into crouching k, which I didn't think was possible. Anyone have this happen to them? EDIT: Nevermind, just figured it out. If the standing p is a counter hit, the link is possible!
Hey guys, I'm a newbie at this game. It's awesome but i notice a lot of players when their losing the game, start spamming the home button to delay the game. Are there some pro players to give me any advice on this? Thanks much appreciated !
The only advice is to either only play with folks you know (invite-friendlies) or play ranked where there is much less rage quitting (and most of it has a penalty for the quitter). That's not to say that there is no ragequitting in ranked, or that some jailbroken folks don't have ways to still quit ranked without being docked points, but it's less likely than anything-goes friendly matches.
in the orignal SF iphone version, you can do that combo, jump p/k -> cr p ->cr k -> tiger knee. it does insane amout of damage. I am so pissed when they rebalanced sagat and you can no longer do it in volt.

against squall sagat is dont too close...use high jump to avoid him and becareful with his low kick...use seismo,double seismo,ex seismo...high jump/normal jump+heavy punch+burning kick....and very2 becarefull when his have minimum 2 bars or you can get his ultra...use viper combo's low kick+medium thunder knuckle this is my trick to fight with his sagat but this not 100% success...his sagat and my viper have same style=aggressive...
Hi Vaceotyn, It's far stretched to say that I can dominiate your viper. I say we are 5/5 even, you have destroyed my sagat as many times as I did to your viper,most of our games outcome are determined by just a single move/mistake either of us made. they are all intense and I really enjoyed them. as far as the match up between Sagat and Viper, I would say it's about 5/5 or 5.5/4.5 to Sagat favor only because he has more HP than Viper. at the long range, the game is in favor of Viper, because of Seismic hits so hard, sagat can't afford to trade tiger shot with it, also burning kick can change viper's jumping trajectory, if mixed up with normal jumpping kick, it's hard for sagat to counter with uppercut. The only thing works for sagat is jumpping elbow,but still it's 50/50 chance to hit or get hit. Also when viper got ultra meter, then tiger shot become upsafe, because the EX Thunder Knuckle go through projectile and can link to Ultra, I eat a lot of them even know it's coming. at the close range, the game favor sagat. cr k -> tiger knee combo is a prefect weapon to control and push viper to the corner, I think what viper can do is mix up cr k-> Thunder Knuckle,Thunder Knuckle uppercut and EX burnning kick. but viper should avoid to trade punch with sagat, because sagat hits much harder.Thunder Knuckle uppercut is a double edged sword. it can break up cr k -> tiger knee link if time it right, but if it missed, then sagat can punish it with whatever he got. I would suggest not to use it too much as it become predictable. both chars are very dangerous and with a lot of combo links to ultra. make one mistake, you can easily lose tons of hp. that's why it also makes this match up very exciting. looking forward to play all your vipers players
Thanks for the advice. Yes some of the hackers I've encountered in a best of 3 match.... If they win the first game, quit and get the win.....very cheap
GG's Squal not sure what happened there at the end, don't take you for a ragequiter so I can only assume you got a call or something. When did you pick up Sim and why must you keep picking characters that Fei sucks against? I felt like that last round I had finally figured out the pacing for that match up, I don't see many Sims and when I do they never want to rematch so it was nice getting a few rounds in I needed the practice.
Well, I wasn't saying you dominate my Viper every single time, I have some good matches against you. But you definitely have the strategy that can be VERY effective in dominating Viper. It all depends on who gains the momentum. This is exactly what goes on in my head when playing against you. I try to keep my distance which helps me control the game better, but once Sagat gets started with the cr. k > tiger knee pressure, it becomes very difficult for Viper and I usually try to go to heavy thunder knuckle and get punished just like you mentioned. If a lot of the other Sagat players played with your strategy, it would be a nightmare.
Hi iVoloster, sorry for the last game, I just got caught up with someone calling me on my phone that I have to answer. yes, just start to using Sim, I always like Sim, but I am still not good with him yet, I believe there are a lot of good Sim players here on this forum like Ken Ken, Jibba, you can spar with them when you got a chance.
I'll be interested in your thoughts on the Sim/Sagat matchup once you get accustomed to Sim and have a perspective from both sides of the matchup. Getting out of the corner against an aggressive Sagat is not a fun experience.
I thought I added you a long time ago Ken|Ken. It's just that there's over 200 friend requests (stupid friend recommendations they have on iOS 5) that your name was buried in there. First round, I was just so confused and laughing at the same time at what was going on, me at 1/3 health and you still had 100% haha. I was just glad I was able to get 1 hit in there before dying. Let's play more sometime. I'm rusty and haven't played in a long time, especially against you. I knew that your Dhalsim was crazy, but I just forgot how crazy it was.

Sometime I wish I have wifi at work so that I can sneak in a match or two. Actually, I do, but the connection here at work is so bad that my 3G (when it works) is actually faster. -_- Sigh...
GGs ablueleaf. Im trying to pick up yun, getting bored of cammy, but hes so much weaker than in ae plus im still ass with him. after those 3 yun matches i just went random, thats why i was so sloppy. Interesting choice picking ken. Itd be nice to have a good ken on this thread. Xcool plays ken too, but i can never get a good connection with him
GGs but really bad on my part hah . Fei is so much weaker than in ae too , I gave up on him already . I noticed that abel and ken have relatively more mixups in here, but abel's go to bnb requires fadc lol , so I'm just trying to stick to easier shoto .
