Sorry, I have an iPhone 4, he was using my wife's 3GS. We haven't tried again, but I was noticing today that the game was running uber slow on the 3GS just solo, so maybe it was a memory issue on the 3GS. I rebooted it, but we haven't tried it again yet. Hopefully that will fix it.

This game in online mode is stupid! Disconnecting is all the time, but the most stuid are the players on the online mode. For 20 fights, I have 15 disconecting, ing loosers, quit the game all the time. Capcom must do something about that... ;/

I got paired with the same guy like 6~7 times in a row and he was a quitter. It was weird, I got pissed and closed the game.

Did you already have Akuma unlocked? I wonder if completing all the challenges otherwise would be another method of unlocking him. Should really unlock something else though, something major, the challenges are maddening and thumb destroying, and I've only tried a few in Volt :).

Managed the star for Cody, somehow his seem the easiest!

so for people who have ipod touch 2g, does the game lag on solo play (I am not talking about online play: obviously it lags...)?

Don't know if this has been suggested already, but maybe they should give a player the ability to have a blacklist and add people to their list that disconnect. That way, the system will never let you play with them again and the disconnectors will have very few people to play online!

Man it's taking ages to clock up 10 online wins ><. I'm on 7 wins 28 losses, but I've had at least 7 wins vs ragequitters - it's enough to make one want to ... rage! I really hope they patch it before too long, i.e. not wait for new characters before giving us an update! Either that or I wish people would realise it is a game !

My record is 65-2 with a 50 game win streak. No rage quits either. If anybody wants to practice I have a blazing Internet connection and can play any time at night. Hit me up on gamecenter. Fastbridge

Yes, it could be Game Center having problems too. However, when you are about to win or just land the winning punch and get 'You have been disconnected', you know it's intentional dc. We call them ragequitters.

When you're in the middle of the fight and suddenly, just out of nowhere (both players are still going for it), you get 'You have been disconnected', it's most likely pop up alerts (call, text, calendar, whatsapp, skype, low-batt, etc). I know because it happened to me a few times.

I'm stuck on Guile's and C.Viper's Challenge 8. Their final move never seems to connect no matter what I try to do... any advices? Those are the only ones keeping me back from completing all of them.

I accidentally rage quit a few matches ago, even after all the griping about it I've done. It can be like a reflex to just hit the home button when frustrated. If they set it so the win/loss was counted as the final blow came, I bet there would be a lot less of it. That way the ragequitters would have to quite before they actually lost and the people who might do it without thinking won't get counted. I think that minor change would make a huge difference.

Guile's trick is to cancel the flash kick into Super. As soon as the first flash kick hits, immeditately hit the Super bar to do the Double flash kick, then just mash the Ultra button.

If the SECOND part of the Double Flash misses, you won't land the ultra.

C.Viper's is probably easiest in the corner, and is just a matter of getting the timing right, can't really offer more help than that atm since my phone is charging.

    Good luck.

I admit I ragequitted in my early matches as well, mainly because I wasn't prepared and kept getting matched against great opponents.

But now I've controlled myself quite well. I think.

I only ragequit against spammers. Noob spammers and decent spammers are two thing. The noob spammers can easily be beaten by playing smart, but decent spammers are really tough.

Talk about a decent Sagat player who constantly tiresoaps high and low, then bait for a combination of hits before cancelling to ultra once we make a mistake. I mean, if he's good, why spams? I'm sure he'll still beat many players without spamming as well, and I would've gladly accepted my defeat. Instead, I was annoyed and hit that home button.

edit: Maybe what we should do is if we want to quit against spammers, let's do it in the middle of the match when they're spamming, not just as our character screams in agony.

Can anyone confirm which 17 characters are there?
I already have SFIV for iPhone, and SFIV for PC... can't really stand any more overlapping. If at least half of the characters for Volt weren't for the original sf4 for iPhone, then I'm game. But if there's just like 2 or 3 new ones (which they could have simply put as a DLC or whatever in the original SF4)... then yes it's a rip off, why should I buy the exact same game one more time?

It's the same 14 as SF4 iPhone + Vega, Balrog, Cody and Akuma (although you must unlock Akuma).

Buy it or don't buy it... It's all up to you. I feel it's worth it and I own SF4, SSF4, SSF4 AE, SF4 iPhone and SF4 Volt.

Also, undoubtedly they will update SF4 Volt with new characters just as they did SF4 iPhone (though this is pure speculation on my part, but it seems like the logical move) and if you don't get SF4 Volt you'll lose out on those characters as well. Plus, it's currently on sale.

But if that really doesn't matter to you, then stay clear of Volt.

Same reason people feel the need to update any other game. Because it's a rip off, but they have no choice.

Also, isn't multiplayer worth the cost?

If your worrying about spammers then you have so much to learn about this game. I consider my self a great steet fighter player and when I play a spammer i usually kill them. its the unpredictable people that keep me guessing. u have spammers, people that throw all the time. people whop use the top tier character. the question is how to u adapt to different play styles. so spammers please keep spamming.. I can use the wins to unlock akuma
