I got no clue! I expected to play his Sagat. In fact I was surprised he counter-picked Cammy! I won 2 straight sets. Afterwards everything was causal...

Zindepza switched to Sagat - I played him with a less intensity. His Sagat was very agressive won 2 straight sets. I adjusted and lucked out 3 straight sets.

It was freaken 9am my time yo! I needed to go to work! Otherwise I would have played him a few more casuals! GGs Zindepza!

    Yun/Sim is a 10-0 match-up in AE but it is a 4-6 match-up in Volt IMO.

Just like the rest of the cast, if Yun can get in Sim corner him and stay in his face, you will likely to win... I don't know how you can achieve that however.

I have only lost to less than 10 Yun's in 8000 Ranked matches :p

I think thats just because there arent many good yuns on volt. Still 6-4 imo. Its reay easy to get in on dhalsim with his divekicks and shoulder, but not as easy as in ae. Thats the worst matchup in ae

I'm saving up for a PS3 to get AE, and I'm going to play Yun even after the re-balancing. :D Anyways, I'd actually put it at maybe a 5.5 - 4.5 in Volt.

I find a lot of players that switch to Cammy very quickly if I beat them. Obviously word got out that she's a tough matchup for Dhalsim. But players that don't know how to play her do not fare well at all.

I had a discussion with Snooper way back on page 428. I didn't think it was really in Yun's favor and here was his response:

In retrospect, I'd probably agree, although it's still extremely rare to find a decent Yun online so I can't really be sure.

Any tips on Balrog's last challenge? It's driving me nuts. It's easy to get the first 4 moves down, but the 4th is Buffalo Head (down and SP) followed by Violent Buffalo (charge back and ultra). I can't cheat on the Buffalo Head like with other characters by holding back/down instead of just down because that gives dash upper. So I have to do the full charge while my opponent is in the air. I've come extremely close to connecting the ultra and actually thougth I did connect it once or twice, but still no dice.

After connecting the Bufalo head (↓SP) and pulling off the Ultra, immediately hold down SP during the animation to do the uppercut punch version of the Ultra and not the straight punch which will connect the combo.

  10. Jump p , downback p , k , upback p , forwardbackforward sp . Conserve your charge for ultra by doing upback for headbutt so you are still charging back .

Edit : nevermind lol talking about wrong stuff .

No, you're actually right. Doing it the manual way is a lot easier then using the SP shortcut for this particular combo. But most importantly, hold down the SP during the Ultra to connect the combo.

The thing with dhalsim is, in ae hes a zoning character. If you watch high level dhalsim play they usually only use teleports for ultra or yoga fire mixups. In volt though, hes missing heaps of his good zoning normals (standing medium punch, back + light kick etc.) so hes more of a keepaway character. Also, unless youre playing yun, you cant option select, so teleports are much more effective.

its a shame that you cant option select. You can do psuedo standing punch/throw option selects, but thats only good if you have a far reaching standing punch. For example with sagat, on their wakeup if you go for a throw and they block the throw will come out. If they backdash then standing punch will come out and hit them. That doesnt cover teleports though.

Add me for some matches. If I decline then it means I am busy.

So I've decided to work on the Makoto guide next I'm just gonna go down the list and do basis info for each character and fill in the rest as I go, I don't like look at a blank guide so I would rather have something instead of nothing. Anyone who said they were willing to write a guide for any given character I'll ask that you email the guide to me at [email protected] and I'll put it in the guide and add images and input graphics to it when I have the time. Skyrim kinda has a death grip on me right now but I'm really trying to put this together so we have something out there.

Edit: Also if you are not interested in doing a whole guide but could do one of the sections listed on the first post of the page that would still be a huge help.

Snooper's Cammy is better than his but Zin's Sagat is definitely above average!

I was just thinking that maybe we'll get a new update for SF4:V on December 13th, because that's when the new patch for AE is coming out. Or maybe it'll come out with the patch for the PC version of AE... who knows. :/

Edit: Yun lost his throw invincibility when using EX Zenpou Tenshin. D: I dunno if this is new or not, but regardless... in AE 2012 that is.
