GGs droqqa. My brothers on skype now which is why it was laggy at the end there, not gonna be able to have any more matches. And the zangief-sagat match is the reason i hate zangief so much. Random super-random ultra, youre dead.

Edit: Haha cody. I know a few of his combos but i cant actually play him. But that sliding in roud 1 did take some skill. Cody was actually the only time i didnt go random. I got sagat twice and im like ok i dont want to get sagat again, it'll look like im pissed off at him for getting sagat three times, so i closed me eyes and chose :p

And of course i'd get honda and zangief against your sagat....

Add me man, I'd like to check out your Guile.

I agree with this. Ryu's the most balanced Shoto character, he does pretty much everything well enough to cover his bases. I think it's interesting that most of the best characters in the game (Sagat, Akuma, Ryu, Dhalsim, et.al.) are more zoning focused, and with the exception of Sim have a pretty good FADC-->Ultra.

Anyone know what the official tier list for the console version of the game is?

I've been playing a lot of Guile mirrors today, first against rshkhsee and then against this guy on my friends list called CAPTAINSofCRUSH. I forgot how much fun mirrors can be! Seems to me like playing a mirror would be a good way to get a bead on how you're doing with your character.

I'm not too big of a fan of using my Guile right now, because he makes everyone to free. :3
Nah, jk xD I'm just working on my cody... Apparently, I have a good one, according to Snooper somehow. o_O

Oh, and if you want to do guile dittos, forget it. I get so bored from those mathces, hahz lolz. :/ :|

when i got sagat against zangief, i tried to play "fun sagat" but then i started to lose so i went to the winning combo that is st. k and tiger shot

I think the reason zoning characters are generally higher in this game is autoblock. If an opponent can block high and low, it can be really hard to crack them without taking risks. I dont agree on ryu being third though. Id say:
    1. Sagat
    2.Akuma
    3.Bison
and then viper, guile, zangief, ryu and dhalsim arent too far behind.

Theres no 'official' tier list. Ill post a link to the most accepted super tier list, but the thing is this game has different versions of characters. all characters from vanilla, like sagat, have their vanilla stats which means they do much more damage. Characters introduced in super, like makoto, dont do quite as much, although makotos a pretty high damage character for super so her damage is ok. Then theres yun, who does ass damage.

They have different "versions" of each character in the game, and with different attributes from different games to / for each character. For example, ryu is like the sf4 ryu, whereas Zangief is a mix of hi SFIV Super And AE changes/ characterversions.

Are you sure? Zangief does vanilla damage, and his lariat has vanilla properties. The only non vanilla thing about zangief is that ex greenhand doesnt knock down. As well as all these subtle changes, you have to keep in mind moves from console versions that werent ported, and the fact that you can do some stuff that is impossible on consoles, like kens uppercut fadc-full ultra, or yuns command grab-close medium kick.

Ah, I'm wondering if any of you caught that, in the original version of the iphone game (SF IV, not IV VOLT), originally, e honda could cancel his standing roundhouse into headbutt... :) ... Which meant j HP c LK HP HP HP (AKA SUMO HUNDREDHAND SLAP ) -> K -> SUMO HEADBUT. :/ x|

Which shows that they also do balance checks behindthe scenes. :3

BUt yes, they do make changes to some characters... hell, they change, some characters properties tooooooo. A noticeable one is Fei Long's Ultra's range lolz. :3 :V

I know his close roundhouse is cancelable, but are you sure the far one is?

They occasionally add random moves as well. Blanka's Standing Hard Punch, Cammy's Air Throw (not the Hooligan Combination), and so on. They also gave a lot of Yun's moves higher power than in the console version (for example, EX Kobokushi, You Hou...).

So I take it I lost the matches? Any advice? I can't come up with anything for Balrog against Viper or Bison.

I added you on GC. I'd be glad to do some Dhalsim matches sometime.

Also, GGs Voloster. I couldn't really muster much with the lag and practically gave up EX moves altogether, leaving me to get burned by your focuses over and over. Not sure how you were able to pull off combo and EX moves like that in the lag but well done. Hopefully we get a better connection next time around.

  14. yeah you guys can unfirend the darkshadowz account but keep the <<AjaySaini>> account a that is my main

It's not just you. It's down all over again.

I've been trying out some more Yun stuff, and I just realized that his Medium Kick (not Close) is an amazing poke. I never really noticed it's range or usefulness before. It also has a very fast startup, so it's pretty dang awesome. Going to go continue working on the Yun guide now.
